Yep, it's official: Bream is the Most Soulful Classical Guitarist in History. The performance of this Django Reinhardt composition by these two reminds me, profoundly, of the recordings of Los Indios Tabajaras... ...and, by making that comparison, I don't know which duo is getting the greater compliment.

Yes Los Indios were or are still in the hearts of every classical guitarist that knows of great duets in of clasical guitar or just music in general!!

At first I thought, in my utter ignorance (a very long time ago), "An Englishman playing Spanish classical Guitar?". Well, after I'd heard this completely astounding genius play Bach, Sor, Tarrega and then... Django Reinhardt, I was immediately converted to a disciple, like St. Paul in the desert. "That's what I want!", was my reply to this deceptively relaxed and humble artist. He became my guide through the maze of guitar music. He was Virgil to my Dante'. Like Diogenes, who set out into the night, with his lantern, to find an "honest man". Upon discovering Julian Bream, my trek was at an end. Thank you Julian. You opened so many doors for all of us. With love.

Certainly a legendary guitar player. But for a heightened level of awe and amazement, view any of Joscho Stephans KZfaq clips. He is absolutely astounding. Best wishes from Toronto!

Bream didn't just play spanish guitar but english lute and cricket as well. We may notice Bream played with long fingernails which produces a brighter attack to the note. When playing cricket he took to wearing heavily armoured gloves after getting his hand smacked a few times.

@@p.r.h.7283 don't lecture me on Django, first of all. And secondly, you should learn about who Bream is. Third buy you a couple of ears, no rythmic identity? I don't even know what that is... it sounds a little lifeless? no, it sounds with a different feel, because it's being played with different technique by a musician with a different background... why are you all so freaking delusional? 🤦‍♂️🤦‍♂️ You don't know who Julian Bream is, you probably never picked a guitar in your life, people here, clueless about the art and technique of playing guitar come here to critizise one of the best players EVER. The guts you have, the size of a horse
