I think these Elliot Mintz interviews are the best you can hear. It's more like you're eavesdropping on private conversations he's having with these people. It's no wonder so many celebrities embraced him, trusted him and became close to him.

It's great to hear that Julian did have some happy memories, and that he's let go of some of the ill feelings he's had of his father, his childhood and especially Yoko... As he has said, what hurts her, hurts Sean...and it's obvious he loves his brother :)

@JaneDoe-zr4px4 жыл бұрын
Either he's too far from the mic or his level is far too low. Elliott is such a soft spoken guy, you have to seriously crank up his mic level. It's a shame too because not hearing him well diminishes the intimacy that Elliott is such an expert at.

I truly believe had John lived that they would have developed a beautiful and close relationship. I think John would have really respected and loved Julian as an adult. I think Julian has all the beautiful attributes of his mother that his father loved for many years and I believe that would have been the same with Julian. It’s so sad that they were robbed of the chance to really know each other. I am glad they were getting there towards the end. God Bless Julian. I include him in my daily prayers. It is so apparent how damaged and hurt he is by all of this.

I talked with Elliot on his radio show in the 70s during the time when the Exorcist movie came out. I told him I had a an uncle who was a priest who performed an exorcism for the catholic church. He said he wanted to interview my uncle.
@elliotmintzvideos2 жыл бұрын
hi dennis. sorry i did not take you up on your offer. whereas, i have attended seances, and heard eyewitness accounts of exorcisms, i never personally watched one take place. william peter blatty did prior to the creation of 'the exorcist'. i found his accounts to be highly believable.

John got his lisesnce in 1967, specifically to drive his custom Rolls Royce. Considering he was a Beatle, his driving test didn't much matter, and they just gave it to him.

For a second I thought this was an interview of a very “cull” John. That first question about absent fathers made me suddenly realize John had been abandoned too and that was his lesson on fatherhood. Not that it would ever excuse his abandonment of Julian but it was literally the first time a lightbulb went off, and me thinking “Of course!” It took Yoko who helped open John’s eyes to so many things that John’s “feminist” side came out. Great interview
@elliotmintzvideos3 жыл бұрын
hi kathleen. keep in mind that john was first abandoned by his father. then his mother was taken from him when he was a teen. those two events would affect him throughout his life. did you know, he used to refer to yoko as 'mother'?

I just listened to another interview where he said part of the proceeds from the project he was working on were going to lupus research because he had lost his friend lucy, THE lucy, to lupus. And he didn't know her last name? I don't know what to make of that.
@elliotmintzvideos2 жыл бұрын
hi kate. how many of your friends from school when you were that young do you remember? i can't recall one.
@questioneverything-rf3yf2 жыл бұрын
@@elliotmintzvideos hi Elliott. I can recall several in fact, despite being in my 50's, but that's not the point. I understood it to mean he'd known her into adulthood when she presumably lost her battle with lupus. I very much doubt she died in childhood, thus leaving him so affected as to remain committed all these years to fight for a cure once finally in a position to do so...that's just ridiculousness. Such a commitment of time and money in memory of a lost loved one (or kid you knew in preschool at age 5, I guess), would presumably include such fundamental data as a surname, one would think... All that aside, I adore Julian, and will always feel for the raw deal he got all the way around regarding his dad, but above all, the loss he suffered. Forget the fans' grief, it doesn't compare. I was not speaking in judgement of him. Was just puzzled, and chose to comment on it.

Maybe he reconnected with her after this interview… idk… that’s probably how he found out her surname.
