The 2P on the battery pack means 2 cells in Parallel, it would be marked 2S if they were in series.

What is the resistance of the heating pads? Just out of curiosity, also have you tried connecting them to a Bench PSU and seeing if they still warm up? if so, I'd be tempted to have a go at cobbling something together- just for laughs obviously...

Weird, mine is heating up only on one side

I just bought one, heats up for a few seconds then shuts off. No t-cycling at all. Hmm.

I had one of these from Lidl and it lasted about a month before giving up. I also have one from ebay that runs from a 5v USB source and inside there are 2x10W power resistors with thermal compound and a 100 degree thermal cutout. It gets really hot if you leave it on. I've repaired it twice already because the wire failed near the entrance to the unit and it's already broken again.

When it failed, I couldn't switch it off. I had 2 options - leave it outside, or take it apart and disconnect the battery. I did the latter.

@@JulianIlett mine wasnt as spectacular. It would show full (3 lights) but turn itself off after a few seconds

Well... At least it did get warm which means that it worked much more than some of CE stuff :-D

Woof!!!!!! he no longer is allowed in the double bed so has to keep warm as best he can 😉

I prefer it when a Powerbank is just a Powerbank and not an all in one device with one USB port. I don't trust them. :)
