Loved TGW, but I didn’t watch because of her, it was several of the supporting actors that kept me watching week after week. So while it was “her show” I didn’t watch because of “her.”

Julianna refused a 20 million dollar contract to come back to ER after she left because she thought her character had closure. Not many actors/actresses refuse such an amount of money and job security for 2 years. She only accepted to come back for 1 episode in the last season with George Clooney. She’s obviously not motivated (only) by money and she’s comfortable enough with what she earned to refuse contracts that don’t reflect her value.

My question is, and I truly don't know, how much are other actors paid when guest starring on a spin-off? Despite what Julianna says, it is a spin-off, a different show on a completely different platform, even if her character was the star of the parent show. To me this shouldn't be about gender but rather not only fairness, but also what standard practice is. I really don't see a guest star being paid as much as the stars of a spin-off, but I may be wrong because, like I said, I don't know. That being said, of course it's her choice, and she can set her price because she doesn't need an extra side job.

Since when is loving their job and being excited about it a reason NOT to pay someone what they're worth? Being happy to do the job is a bonus, the real motivation is the money. Otherwise we'd all be at home gardening and playing video games. I can't stand the hypocrisy of people who say "well if you were so excited about being back with your friends why did you say no for the money?" Where are we, summer camp? This is a job, they are professionals and they should be paid accordingly.

THE GOOD FIGHT should be on B.E.T. as it is mostly a Black cast.
