I love 💕 all of your cooking tools! OXO is my favorite company for utensils. The Lazy Susan is something I really need because I always get an avalanche of spice bottles dropping out and off the counter and aiming for my cats on the floor. 🙀😂 Great Finds! A slice of bread in the brown sugar will moisten it. Also, a piece of bread put in with cookies that are too hard will soften them.

You can keep brown sugar in the freezer...it thaws in a few minutes

I keep a slice of bread (usually the bread butt) in my jar of brown sugar. It keeps it soft and it will soften hard brown sugar.

How long does the bread stay in there? Won't it get moldy?

@@meghancarr518 I've never timed it but I say several months. Eventually, the bread will get hard and that's when I replace it. I haven't had any get moldy (knock wood). I keep my brown sugar in Mason jar so I think that helps. If you're asking how long does it take to soften hard brown, I'm not sure. It's been so long since I've had to do that. Maybe a couple days depending how much needs to be soften. Hope this helps!

Julia what a great video. I purchased the grater and the fold down drainer because of you. Funny story about the grater. I was grating a cheese block and nothing was coming out. I kept pushing harder and harder…nothing. I tried pulling out the inside and it was so stuck. Well, I had the darn inside backwards and the poor grater was smashing cheese against the plastic with no where to go! My husband just looked at me when I realized my error and we busted out laughing! 😂 Thank you for your wonderful, cheerful videos. I so look forward to seeing them. I hope you feel better soon! ❤️

When it comes to brown sugar, all you have to do is break up some bread put it in the container with the brown sugar and you will always have soft brown sugar I do it all the time and it never gets hard

Pop a few large size marshmallows in your brown sugar and it works fantastic. I always used a clay disk but I prefer the marshmallow method the best.

Do you just put the marshmallows in the bottom of the brown sugar container and then pour the brown sugar on top?

You can put the marshmallows on top. My grandma always would put apple peels in her brown sugar to keep it moist😉🙌🏼

A great alternative is the cookware Beautiful by Drew Barrymore. It’s at Walmart, and it’s so much more reasonably priced than Caraway. The quality IMO is the same if not better!

If your brown sugar gets hard, you can put orange peels or apple peels in it for a while to help get it moist.

The scraper spatula also works great when scrambling eggs or making light batches of things that need constant scraping and attention to prevent from sticking and burning

Love the chopper. Like your mom we had one back in the day. Chop a Matic. My Dad on Sunday night would chop up the left over roast with celery, onion, pickle then add mayonnaise to bind and make a sandwich spread. Serve on toasted bread with crisp lettuce and tomato. It was delicious. Also the cheese grater. Thanks

I have the wood bag container but they're all individual boxes for each size so I could stack them in a narrower drawer. I really like it because when I get a new box of bags I can add it to the few bags in the wood box and keep the drawer neat.

I love the bag organizer. We live in an apartment and have a smaller kitchen now so that would be a great space saver ❤ and the pancake dispenser would be great because we make muffins often to have for breakfast for the week and so you know how messy it can be dipping or pouring it in 😩. So this would be a great hit with no extra mess. I seen you use the meat masher, that’s the first time I’ve seen one of those ❤️ it. Oh wow 😮 I absolutely love the pot strainer. Thank you 😊

I bought the pancake dispenser hoping to love it but it clogs easily so I returned it to Amazon. The strainer that attaches to your pot works great! I have the bag organizer which is handy because I can see if I need to replenish my supply easily.

I really like the over the sink strainer. The large metal one and small metal one I have take up so much room. I have had them for years so don't feel bad replacing them. That head and chest cold can take 2-3 weeks to completely clear. I just started feeling somewhat better today so I made chicken soup to knock the rest of it away. Better late than never.

A piece of bread on top of the brown sugar will keep it moist as well. Even if the brown sugar has gotten hard, put a piece of bread in the container and it will soften up.

Julia, you should get a “Spatty Daddy”. It’s a spatula that’s extremely thin. It can get into very narrow containers. I originally saw the item on Shark Tan early in life of the show. Not only can it help with food items, it will also help with beauty products too. I really like it because I paid for those products & I hate wasting things I’ve paid for. I believe you can them on Amazon.
