Those talented people that listened to her, must have gone through the roof with inspiration. It is a real gift to be able to reach out to people and actually reach their heart and soul...I really think Julie did that! She's an amazing woman! Wonderful speech!

Actually Moss had said to his wife Kitty Carlisle Hart that Julie Andrews was positively dreadful in rehearsals, but that if he could only spend a weekend alone with her coaching her he could "paste the part" on her. He definitely saw her tremendous potential. Kitty, without a jealous bone in her body, encouraged him to do so, which he did. Julie Andrews emerged letter perfect, and Kitty once joked that she could see a touch of Moss and his coaching in Julie's performance.
