A new piece called "Stool Pigeon" by Julie Davila for our 2012-2013 concert project. Written for 8 players on stools! Lots of rudimental content here... but WELL worth the effort!

My percussion did this in our final concert performance. It was the very last piece of the show. It took us about 2 weeks to learn and play it. It was fun. I miss those days

これ中学校の時にやった。難しかったし、どんだけ練習したか分からんくらい頑張ったけど、めっちゃ楽しかった😂✨ 今でも授業中とかふとした時にリズム叩いてしまう笑

A couple years back my middle school band teacher took his most talented percussionists (one of which could play 4 mallets at a time) and taught them this for a solo and ensemble comp and they won by a huge margin bc the judges were practically drooling over the song

If you know your rudiments you can play this piece. The only "difficult" aspect of it is the timing.

My percussion ensemble at school is playing this and we have watched the video a couple of times. In measure 28, the rhythm played in the video is different than the score. Which is it?

The score is written for 4 players but here they have 8 so they doubled some of the measure and split them

We used marching snare drum sticks. But no it doesn't matter in the slightest. Just choose a stick that gives you the sound that you want.
