Excellent skipped content video! Even though it wasn't skipped per se, I would mention here the drinking ale scene with Badi... it touches a similar subject with the whole manners/past life social rules. Julie is a great character!

I love Julie and i knew they would skip this in the anime. Although a side story, I always remember this one because it showed how Rudy sees things while others see things differently. Which is what we all should remember but we all tend to forget. When i read it. I thought it was more then just, Julie is close to Rudy but scaried of Zenoba, until Rudy gets mad and then it becomes Julie is scaried of Rudy and close to Zenoba now. Here you have something people try to discuss sometimes but never get anywhere because of a difference of opinions. Which either people stop discussing or refuse to change opinions on. Even though it is something small it is actually a big deal because there are lot of discussions that play out similar. Zenoba puts all his faith in Rudy being right even when he doesn't understand it. While Rudy believes maybe he is being too stubborn since he is the only one who has a problem. The girls come up to back Rudy up but they do it in a way that only further makes Rudy think he is stubborn for trying. Which some people can see as others looking down on them or that person thinking they are in the wrong. It isn't until Fittz comes in, a person Rudy thought would rationalize his ideology, that Rudy realized that although he was right he was putting too much burden on a child that not only suffered a lot. But also children don't learn things right away, it takes small steps. And we have to learn patience moreso in our older age then in are younger ones. Children learn through time while adults learn through communication. Kids sees parent eating with their hands they too will do so. Adults don't know everything either and we can be stubborn to wanting someone to know something right away. Instead of having those expectations, we should learn to communicate better and have patience to let others learn.

The people complaining about julie being a slave are NOT anime fans. They're pop slop fans. Their idea of good writing is mary sues who can use their invincible dragons to burn a slaver city to the ground and free all the slaves with zero repercussions or consequence in-universe. They wouldn't know consistency if it slapped them in the face every hour on the hour.

I know this scene has no relevance to the plot, but it would have done a lot for establishing the character dynamics. Which is something that barely happened in this season.
