Aún recuerdo la caratula de "Bésame Mucho" que mi padre tenía entre sus discos favoritos y lo tocaba con mucha frecuencia. El rostro de Consuelo Velázquez me parecía el de la mujer más hermosa que mis ojos de niño habían visto, y cada vez que escuchaba su voz, mi fascinación era completa. Un dia mi padre me contó que Consuelo, había compuesto esa canción siendo una adolescente y que ella "no sabía ni siquiera lo que era un beso, porque nunca había besado a alguién, todo esto le brotó del corazón"
