I met her just after her 70th birthday. I was blown away by how gorgeous she was in a mini dress and stilettos. Still looks great at almost 90!

Can you imagine if Julie's brother had NOT been in the room when Julie got that call to be in the Batman TV series? We may have never gotten to witness a great part of TV history. Sometimes timing is everything.

It is well known that Ms. Newmar has one of the highest I.Q.'s in Hollywood. And it shows here. I'm surprised she was not an even bigger star. I wondered what roles she missed out on. She's very beautiful, but also exotic in manner. Unique.

Her 'being' Cat Woman' had me mesmerized. I musta been 6 OR 7 yrs old. I just could not keep my eyes off of her. I used to act out her 'death' scene's at home. Even then, i was insane. ;)

Actually, we were at war in the mid to late 60s which was Vietnam but I understand what Julie’s talking about, she’s referring to the fantastic and wonderful American pop-culture that was happening around that time and it was plentiful in both television, movies, theater and music

It is blindingly obvious from this interview that not only was Julie Newmar an exceptionally beautiful woman but had great intelligence as well. Everyone agrees she was a wonderful Catwoman in “Batman” and if you watch her in some of her television clips here on KZfaq she was excellent in everything she did. In the “Simon Says” clip she also shows she was a great mover, excellent dancer and a very good singer as well. In short, Julie Newmar was an ABSOLUTE KNOCKOUT of a beauty and performer!.

Miss Newmar had a child with Down Syndrome and took care of him and made sure he learned the skills so he could function independently. She has also appeared before the US Congress to advocate for physically and mentally challenged people

She's what? 75 or 80 here? But looks essentially the SAME as she did when she did Catwoman. Mostly. plastic curgery? Natural genetics? SHe's kept her figure essentially the same too. Classic beauty. More my gavorite than Monroe or Mansfield. ...funny....Monrooe and Mansfield were "medium height" ...not that tall by todays standdards....Newmar was rare then especailly at 5'11... as she is even compared to today's beauties, supermodels. Newmar is "tall"...

The statuesque Julie Newmar was the greatest Cat Woman. Like the statuesque Bond Girl Ursula Andress, emerging from the sea, Halle Berry is a pre~pubescent little girl compared to these two glamazon women.
