While Julie was packing up and moving from the St. Louis area in 2020, she came across the ceramic yellow ears which were a memento gift from the May 2001 NMMC reunion.
Although Julie was not able to attend the 2001 reunion (25th anniversary of the NMMC), David Eagan (who was the mastermind in arranging for the casting of the ears and painted them himself) must have shipped them to her later.
Numerous ears in various colors were made. For the Mice Moms who attended, they got a special pair of white ceramic hat with gold ears. I got a light pink pair, and I'm holding on to green ceramic ears for Kelly if our paths ever cross again. They were an awesome memento of the reunion. The woman who designed the colorful ears back in 1976 -- Betty Pecha Madden-Wicklund -- attended the reunion with her husband, Richard (NMMC studio teacher).
