@julieruby

Hi! Face Atelier is amazing! I would highly recommend investing in at least 3 of the shade adjusters: 0, Heat & Blaze. They are my most used by far! Then I would suggest getting the lightest and darkest shade and a few in between to mix :)

Oh believe me I know what oily skin is😹 I have good moisturizers that work for me so my skin is under control. One of them is the Bioderma. My whole face is an oily mess if I don’t. My face does not know what dry skin is. I’ve tried moisturizers that just make my face look oilier and gross until I found ones that work. I never had luck with “all skin types” moisturizers

Thank you so much for this video! You're my go to for all things makeup Artistry 🙂. I was just wondering though, you mentioned how we shouldn't use a silicone primer on oily skin, but what if we're using a silicone foundation? I was always told we had to match our primer base to our foundation base. So silicone primer with silicone foundation, water primer with water foundation, etc. Is this true? Or have I been lied to this whole time 🤣🤣
@julieruby
@julieruby 2 жыл бұрын
Hi Penny! I really appreciate you saying that! So glad my videos have been a great resource for you :) In my experience, you don’t have to match them up completely. I’ve put water based primers with silicone foundations and it’s gone just fine! It’s literally all about experimentation bc others don’t mix well. It’s kind of a general rule but don’t let it stop you from experimenting!

I love all these suggestions, but how do you get all these especially if you’re on a budget, is they’re dupes for beginner makeup artists? I want to make a kit but I want to be frugal at first too. Any suggestions?
@julieruby
@julieruby 2 жыл бұрын
Hi Bree! Yes it’s always so hard trying to build at kit at first because of how expensive everything is. I didn’t buy all this at once that would’ve been a lot! If you are a certified or licensed artist, you can apply for pro discounts. Otherwise, check out skincare and makeup brands that you love! Most of it will be trial and error but I haven’t personally found dupes for the things I mentioned. I’m sure if you looked up dupes people have probably found some :)

Hi Julie! 💕 If using a cream foundation palette (starting and don't want to spend 40+ 20 times on foundation just yet), would you still prep the skin the same way? I just want to make sure these also work for cream products. Thank you! 🌺

I do have a question🙈 So in this Video you said you wouldnt reccomend silicone based Primers for oily skin and then you mention benefit porefessional and smashbox Foto Filter as examples for not using because theyre silicone based But then you reccomend benefit porefessional matte rescue. I looked up the ingridients and there is silicone in that Primer as well (dimethicone on 5. Place which is pretty high up) So im confused now why is this one any diffrent? 🙈
@julieruby
@julieruby Жыл бұрын
Hi great question! I was more so talking about the primers that have them as their main ingredient which gives it more of a “slippery” kind of texture. If it’s farther down in the ingredient list that’s fine. It’s mainly the texture I was referring to. Sorry about the confusion!

Dry skin is more sensitive then oily skin and dry skin breaks out more? Yeah I don’t believe that😒
@julieruby
@julieruby 2 жыл бұрын
Dry skin is definitely more sensitive but with oily skin it’s more so breakouts bc of clogged pores. Dry skin doesn’t necessarily “break out” per se but just gets irritated bc of the lack of hydration.
