One Book July is funny to me, because I really struggle with using more than one planner! I'm a one-book girl all year round--planner stacks feel very overwhelming to me, and I lose track of what things I wrote in which planner/notebook. That said, I planner-hop a whole lot, because I get "itchy" very easily in my planner. So, I'm always only using one at a time, but I have a whole bunch I've started and then abandoned *shrug*
@fragileandfacileАй бұрын
I’m very similar. Every time I’ve tried using multiple planners at once I’ve gotten overwhelmed and stopped planning completely.
@tenyiaplansАй бұрын
That used to be me. now i just rewrite things in different things
@selbartonАй бұрын
I would have to back fill so it would be more overwhelming to fill in months at a time to have it all than just breaking down into two books so the part I didn't need out and about didn't add extra weight and bulk.

Aww, I hope that you heal well. Please make sure to give yourself grace. I'm glad that you're participating in One Book July, too. I've been having fun downsizing to one planner, so far. I'm also using the B6 Common Planner. Ha, ha! I have hydrangeas. Don't worry, once they finally take off they are low maintenance.

The person that created one book July is Rhomany from Rhomany’s Realm here on KZfaq. This is the 11th year. Each year they have different areas and goals so there are so many that you can choose. Get it to fit your needs. The first one, 11 years ago was 1 book, 1 pen, and 1 highlighter. Now with so many people bullet journaling 1 book isn’t necessarily an odd thing.
@JuliesPlansАй бұрын
Awesome. Absolutely no way I could do just one pen 🤣love seeing how everyone makes it their own and how it’s evolved!

I've been using one book since January 😅 For me the whole appeal of using a planner is having my entire year in one book so once I found something that works for me, I've stuck with it. I love my Sterling Ink horizontal N1 planner. I'm glad to see you're giving Sterling Ink another shot!

Good to hear from you but obviously you are not obligated to fill us in. Many of us are thinking of you and hoping for the best for you! Less importantly, as someone juggling multiple planners always (just have analysis paralysis! and am a maximizer), I did One Book July years ago with A5 rings and it totally suited all of my needs. May have been so many years ago it was before I fell hard for the Tomhoe River Paper, which is now very difficult for me to ever consider not using. All this said, I am doing a "2 book July" (still a reduction in the # of planners I have) but using a B6 bound Wonderland222 and then a 6-month Daily Duo from EC. Already missing rings (it is July 1!), but seriously hoping this month can have me reflect on what my real deal is and what could work for 2025. Good luck to all of us giving this a whirl! Take good care of yourself!

I am a teacher so I've kind of been doing the One Book thing all summer. I've been using my Hobonichi weeks and it works great during the summer when I don't have as much going on. I do also use a small daily notebook as a modified version of a bullet journal but it is working well for me. Glad to see you back on YT and hope you are getting plenty of rest to aid in your recovery.

I love the common planner. I take the daily pages and split them down the middle do have 2 days on one page. I can also use more than one for celebration. I used 2 pages for my birthday. I gave myself 300 pages for the whole year. I am loving it.

I love these one book planner challenges cause my goal progressing with my bujo has been to get it to a place where i can both do the tracking I want, the logging i need for memory help, AND the journailling I miss. These videos give me ideas about new things to try and actually gave me my perfect daily spread a couple years ago. I'm still figuring out the trackers but as all things, it's a process.

Empty pages can be a good thing too. Continue to take good care of yourself and good to see you back.

This has inspired me to do this for my upcoming school year. I'm an elementary art teacher, and I love planners/planbooks. Over the last 4 years I have jumped into new planbooks mid school year. Lol Once I start in one planbook, a different planbook looks shiny and new to me. So this year, I'm going to try my very best to stick to the planbook I chose for this upcoming school year and I'll ONLY switch to something different /new if my current planner is not working out. All rambling aside, thanks for sharing!!
@caitlinhughes55Ай бұрын
I currently only use one book. But as a Program Specialist at a library June and July are my two busiest months and it was a struggle to keep up with my planner in June because there were so many things happening every single day and I didn't prioritize a while lot outside of work. So I think for July I might switch to my junk journal/watercolor book so that I can have some personal, nothing to do with work, creative time and just play with things with less pressure.... so it's different book July for me!

🙏🏾…during your recovery I’m already in one book…B6 Aura Estelle it’s not the catch all but it’s the one that has the month followed by two blank pages an the the week none page-horizontally and then seven daily pages. This is what sold me. I had a LD horizontal the first half the year and just decided I wanted to downsize so I can carry my planner everywhere I go. I’m just working on how I can incorporate my life into this size. So far so good…but school and work start back next month so we shall see. 🤞🏾 Loved your video❤

Have missed you so much Julie! Wishing you all the best for happiness, health, and recovery! We love you! I used an undated B6 Sterling Ink planner last year and it didn't end up working out for me! The undated pages were ultimately my downfall. With great flexibility comes great indecision!!! 🤣 On days that I didn't feel like writing, I felt that I had to allocate space in case I did ever want to go back. But how much space? Then the days would add up and eventually I stopped journalling altogether! This year, I've found that dated pages really allow me that space to write (or not write) without worrying about not being able to back journal. I now have two A6 Hobonichi planners and a Hobonichi Weeks and have seemed to just hit my groove, so I won't be joining in on the one book July challenge, but I love seeing how everyone else plans to do it!

Love this! I kind of just downsized to one book as well, even before I knew about one book July. I’m now in a Hobonichi A6 avec with the weekly supplement tucked into the same cover. That counts as one book, right? 😂 I’m loving it so far! I use my planner pretty functionally for planning, so each day has a personal task list and a work task list and I roll incomplete tasks over to the next day. I have a Sterling Ink grid notebook for my separate journal, so I don’t need as much room in my planner.
@JuliesPlansАй бұрын
Of course that counts as one book 😉 I need to grab a Sterling ink grid notebook!

So happy you are feeling up to filming! ❤❤❤❤❤ The thing that holds me back from Common Planner is that I do quite a bit of back journaling and skip around. So if it's all blank and I want to journal June 15 before I journal June 1, I can't? Or I can but it will be out of order? I love the size of the Common Planner but can't get over this. I realize I could date every page beforehand but that seems counterintuitive to the design of the planner. But who makes the rules anyway? 😂 Can't wait to see how you use it and how the undated part goes for you. Again, so glad you are healing and feeling a bit better.
