I totally understand the knockdown but calling this knockout when clearly he could have continued!?! Very soft amateur rules.

He would have been killed by red if the rev had continued the fight. Amateur boxing isn't soft it's real.

@@Magnetohydrodynamik I don't agree with you on this one. La Cruz is an elite fighter. He would have recovered and probably win the fight after. He didn't look too damaged.

You can’t decide about the ref decision from this angel. The ref looks in the boxer eyes. If they seem to be a little bit rolling, he would stop the fight.

This is amateur boxing. They stop the fight for anything. It used to be that the boxer had to really get KO. Now, merely landing a good punch can be enough for a fight to be stopped.

The ref stopped counting at 2 to check other boxer, then started again, so Julio got up on the 8th second and still looked shaky. The ref would have seen that he was still dazed and did the right thing.

Khalil would of jumped on him and hurt him did you see his legs when he got up it was a good stoppage. Cruz is a great champion just fight with his hands down too much
