I am 60 years old my grandma sister use to make it and she always added eggs and she would place it over the stove for about 10 mins not allowing it to boil and after it cooled she would add the rum but I guess she was making ponche as some of the people are saying .....best I ever had.

I've always been nervous about using raw eggs in my coquito, but it was interesting seeing the old school version of doing the coquito.

Thanks for your recipe. Do you, are does anyone have a recipe for how your grandmother, or great grandmother made coquito? I’m looking for a fresh, no cans version of the drink. Kinda like when someone makes pastellas they old fashioned way, maybe more authentic way. Anyone know how to do the old school coquito? ANd what about the cheese in the bottle version?

Hola Chef Julio.

Chef Julio....I love your videos!!! I'm going to try this recipe but what is all seasoning?? Is it the same like sazon completa?
@Chalupes7 жыл бұрын
no it is not the same. all spice is a combination of different spices found in a lot of Caribbean cooking. You should be able to find it at a supermarket or online.
