i agree but he was wrong about that dunk story...Doc retired in 87 so it couldn't have been in 88...plus the Sonics won the title in 78-79 aginst the bullets so he was probably talkin about then...he had to be....but either way he in his 70's, i'm in my 40 and the years are starting to melt into one another..lol...Doc is the man, he will be with us for a long time still

Best show so far, but I'm biased. Dr. J. & Ice & Maravich were our 😢heroes. Growing up in the early '70's was MAGIC- wouldn't trade it. The 'fro, the red, white & blue leather Converse, the Spalding Dr. J. autographed ball. I remember him & Rick Barry's commercial & them saying to buy a Spalding rubber ball cause those leather balls were too slick. The Fish That Saved Pittsburgh. I was there for all of it. I'm a Sixer fan today because of that merger. I was a HUGE Nets fan. We watched MUCH more ABA than NBA in those days. Being in the South it was cool to catch Pistol Pete & Kareem was great too. But with J. & The SkyWalker & Iceman in the ABA why wouldn't we ? Nobody was outside pretending to be a Van Arsdale or JoJo White. And then the Bicentennial Champs! !! I remember that red white & blue ball seemed even more red white & blue. Doc & Hillman with those 'fros looked 10 feet tall. Doc was so cool but also seemed so kind doing those City of Hope spots. A real class act. Remember ? 🎶Hey Dr. J Where'd You Get Those Moves ?🎶 Anybody?

Amazing Interview. Total respect for Dr. J even though I am a lifelong Laker fan. Doc STILL the coolest guy on the planet. . . . congrats to you Darius and Q on this interview! The OG of OGs. You guys need to interview each other about what it was like to interview and "chop it up" with Julius Erving. . .I'd even watch that!

Much respect. You didn't ask the "same ol' - same ol'" stuff. Easy to tell how much both of you guys and Doc enjoyed the conversation which I'm sure is not easy since he gets so many of the same questions over the years. True love of the game on both sides. And I love how Doc brings back some old school names - beyond the legends most of us know. Giving them respect and I know it means a lot the families of theses men so they are not forgotten. #6 was always my favorite and you contributed a real gift here with this interview.

30,026 pts. 10565 rebounds. 5,000 plus assists. #1 in steals at retirement. #7 in blocks. What other Forwards have that? 74,75 & 76 ABA MVP. 2x ABA World Champions. 2 time playoff MVP-ABA. 1981 NBA MVP. 1st Forward to win in 16 years. 2 time All-Star MVP. 1983 NBA World Champion. 16 All-Star games. 12 time ABA-NBA All-Pro team. 10 time first team. 26-20 average in College. Ambassador for both leagues. Never had a losing record in 16 years. Greatest open court player ever. Wonderful 10-12 bank shot from either side. Great off the ball defender. Sacrificed 6 shots less in Philly per game. His numbers were staggering. Top 15 EVER. Magic Johnson circa 2013 - Dr. J could do things in today's NBA nobody else can do. That's the Doctor. Privilege to watch him play.

Amazing sit down. Thank you all. Dr. J meant more to us (his fans) than his ability to score at will. He demonstrated how to be a humble and dominate at the same time. A true skill that is everlasting. Thank you Dr. J. I only wish I saw you play in Hampton VA at the Coliseum but I was too young and too poor. But later in life I was able to travel to Philly to see you at the Spectrum on several Friday night games. Some of the best times in my life. Yea I said it... Thank you :) And thank you Q and D for setting up one of the all time interviews of a true legend on and off the court.
