So glad I found your page!! I'm a first time dogo owner. Our boy is 15 months and 95 lbs. Weighs much less than what we were told his parents weigh but he is all muscle. It's comforting seeing your males at this sizes well. We were worried he isn't already 120. Just like you said, immensely intelligent and socially aware. We have 3 dogs and three cats and he plays differently with every one of them. He has been socialized at our family preschool since 6 weeks of age and loves the kids. He is last in line in our dog pack, behind our 40 lb male husky and behind our 50 lb female staffordshire. We plan to keep it that way as he grows because he's such a powerful dog. He's incredible. So excited to watch more of your videos and thank you for bringing awareness to this incredible breed!!

80-100lb is breed standard, 120lb is too much. 95lb is already a very big dog, in fact, giant size category is classified as 100lb+. Dogos were meant to be agile enough to chase down big wild animals. They are the more athletic and less bulky among the mastiff family.

My bfs dogo can be used as a footrest on his belly as well as a pillow. As long as you aren't on his ribs he doesn't mind. The breed has been bred for durability and thickened skin when brought to hunt wild boar, puma and coyotes

Wow!! these guys are such tanks!! The olny word that describes them, for me, is Gladiator!! They have great drive and once bite placement is understood you hardly ever see anything less than one hell of an amazing deep full bite. Watching this dog work was awesome, they really are just one big muscle and you can see how lean and rediculously fit they are👌 Absolutely love this breed!! As always another Great Video 👏👏👏👏

Los dogos son lo suficientemente inteligentes para darse cuenta y actuar en una situación de defensa. NO es necesario entrenarlos para atacar, pueden hacerlo naturalmente. Sólo hay que socializarlos bien y educarlos para obedecer. Ellos tienen incorporado el instinto protector de la familia. (Dogos are smart enough to detect and to act in a defensive situation. There's no need to train them to attack, they can do it naturally. You only have to socialize them and train them with obey commands. They already have a protection family instinct)

My experience with functional dogs is that they must be training and selection will only contribute to training. Have you tested your dogs to see if they really work? I believe in the individual and in training. Check my Channel and see what im talking.

My dogo protected my house one time from an intruder. No training. 1.5 years old. He was in my room with me door closed. He alerted me with a Distinct howl which made me get up. Someone was trying to come in through my kitchen window. Love my boy so much. Such a good dog

Belgian Malinois, Belgian Shepard. Depends on where they bite you. In the abdomen it didn’t hurt at all. In the arms it’s not much more than a pinch.

I have a Dogo Argentino bitch. She was born the 12th of may 2019. She's now a 6 month and 3 weeks old dog. At this moment she weighs about 34 kilograms!!! She started guarding when she was 4 months and 3 weeks.... She's 'UBER' intelligent, very stable, very lovefull... but I'm sure no burglar will leave our house alive. Helped by our 7 year old Cane corso who weighs about 55 kg. There's no better alarm system! I always feel safe anno 2019

Thanks and that's what I love about the breed so chill but so intense and determined when you need it hunting or protection. I have puppies that were born on the 13th of December from Achillies I may sell a couple females but I'm keeping a few out of the 5.

Que definición muscular la de Achillies( Aquiles) realmente alguien sabe como conseguir en nuestros dogoa dicha definición? Quizas aumentar la ingesta de Carne magra, más ejercicios en pileta o trote habitualmente? ,Este Dogo es un digno representante de la mejor raza canina de todo América. te cuento un trucazo, mi hermano le cocina y debes en cuando le da un alimento para la musculatura y tmb uno para la articulaciones, creo que es caro la bolsa pero bueno le compra , los dogos de mi hermano estan todo el dia en casa, si lo sacan a pasear es al rio o algun descampado para que corran a lo loco, sacando esto , sus dogos viven haciendo la siesta hajjajaja pero tiene un fissico tremendo para dormir todo el dia, re musculoso, cocinale algo al alcance de tu bolsito y si gasta en el alimento proteico, ayuda aumentar la masa muscular muy facil a los dogos por mas que esten encerrado.

El Dogo es más sociable con otros perros y sobre todo con los chicos. En los pueblos de campo en Argentina los dogos andan sueltos desde cachorros y jamás dan problemas. Eso sí de noche donde hay un Dogo siempre hay un hogar seguro. Para un principiante es mejor un pitbull que un dogo, porque como el Dogo es mucho más grande y pesado se necesita mucha más fuerza para sujetarlo y determinación para entrenarlo bien. El Dogo también necesita mucho más espacio y tiempo para liberar la energía que tiene. Si vivís en una ciudad sin mucho espacios verdes no vas a disfrutar tanto la experiencia de tener un Dogo Argentino. Saludos.

El dogo es el mejor ha sido creado para absolutamente todos los ámbitos... En cambio el pitbul es solo una evolución de lucha pero solo de lucha contra perros no hay más.. Ha comparación el dogo ha sigo creado para la casa mayor pelea con bestias de mayor peso mucha mayor exigencia y adaptado para ser sociable inteligente resistente al frío de trote amplio de mucho agarre un animal dotado por todos los lados..lee la historia ..y a su creador.. 😎😎😎

Not to sound generic but I've been around a few Dogos and many pit bulls, that dog looks mixed with pit, that or he doesn't have much Great Dane in his original ancestry. Look how short he is and I don't see the trademark dogo neckfolds. No offense just an observation. Impressive dog to say the least.

Well, actually the Dogo is a new kind of breed. It was meant to hunt wild animals. And so many different breeds were used. There are many variants that were left because of the different selection, you could have seen one.

Looks exactly like a Dogo to me, I'm asked often if mine is a Pitbull..... I wasn't impressed with this video though, I was hoping to get insight on how to train them specifically. I also would have liked to have saw that Dogo being called off in a moments notice. Just being able to attack is one thing but a really well trained dog will stop the attack the moment its handler says so. I didn't see that in this video..... You can't just turn a dog loose on someone and not be able to call it off, they have to stop when commanded to do so. That's a well trained dog.
