Love it!! Especially the okra. I was told I couldn't grow okra here in the SF Bay Area, but I grew some from seed! Nothing like home grown pesticide free food. Looking forward to the August update. Great harvest for you so far.

i started several herbs in peat pots inside..marjoram, basil and oregano. i pot them in a north facing window that gets a lot of indirect sun, when it seemed they were outgrowing the 4"peat pots, i transplanted them into 5 gallon buckets and put them in direct sun outside., only the basil survived..i live off the gulf coast in Texas very near the water, very humid conditions. everything I've read instructs regular pruning/harvesting to really get basil to thrive & it seems true enough !

Nice harvest. This year was a bust for me. we had over 12 inches of rain in July and it gave a lot of disease and rot to my plants /vege's. But I'm looking forwards to my fall garden :)

saw this and wondered if you ever roast your peppers.. you scrotch the skins until they are black and smokey, plunk em in a plastic bag and tighten it up for about 10 minutes, the skins will peel right off and the result is smokey pepper love.. then you can freeze them or can them!

Wow, you've had quite a harvest this July!! Congrats. That's a lot of hard work! I'm getting a ton of peppers, spaghetti squash, eggplant, swiss chard, carrots and banana peppers right now at the jersey shore. Do you 'refrigerator pickle' your banana peppers?? You should..they come out amazing for sandwiches & wraps! Best of luck w/your large fall crop. -facebook/jerseyshorehomesteader
