I was fortunate enough years ago to meet John at a movie screening he was doing locally. Helped him unload his hemi Charger outside the theater. One of the friendliest most down to earth people you'll ever meet.

I have the exact same hat, of course signed by Mr Schneider himself when I met John in Toronto at a local car show. Class act, even took the time to sign my old Dukes memorabilia and posed for pics with me and my children! Thx John!

I was thinking wow that nose down landing looked rough. The insight into it later was great. After hearing the explanation it makes sense how a flat landing is worse. Thanks for the video.

Loved this show as a kid borrowing the family car at 2am when I was 7 years old. I learned how to jump railroad tracks and ride gravel roads sideways. Thankfully GOD saw me through.

I think Jack Gill is the stunt man who jumped the General Lee through a barn in one episode of Dukes. It was crazy to see the stunt because it looked like the car was 40 feet up in the air going through it.

For the record: To all the Mopar "professionals" it is a Hellcat, that has been customized. Everyone who worked on the movie, including John, told me so.

It maybe a hellcat because they've rebuilt it so many times but it has non-hellcat rims, steering wheel and front bumper. Also couldn't see the brembo brakes. It does have hellcat hood so it "maybe" legit.....

I understand John’s connection to Chrysler, but some adaptations are sacrilege. Multiple companies are producing 800+ HP Bandit T.A.’s based off the current G.M. platform and I’ll bet they would’ve contributed. It’s not like the Challenger used was a throw away / budget car. Can’t wait to see the upcoming movie tributes of the Steve McQueen chase, recreated by using a “Bullit” Z-R1 Camaro and the “King” shown winning the Daytona 500 while driving a new #43 STP GT-500 Mustang, or on the cheesier side, the new “Hoff” re-creation of the KITT Yota Camry. Yeah, its a stunt car. You have to basically rebuild a car when it comes to putting it through a stunt like this. Jumping it 100+ feet across a river is no easy task. Thats why they land it head first, its safer for the driver.

@@ChunkeyMonkey40 BS exhaust tips are wrong, Gas cap, is wrong Wrong Rear spoiler. No Hellcat came with the 6 inch radio, Steering wheel wrong, Whole front end is wrong. grill, bumper, spoiler ect.. All are wrong Dash, Door panels. I should know i have owned 2 Hellcats. A PCP 2016 Challenger Hellcat A8. And now a Octane red 2019 Redeye WB.

NOT a Hellcat. Title is misleading. Hellcats had a different front bumper and grille. Besides....Why destroy a real Hellcat when a V6 Challenger can get the same job done at half the price.

You can claim all you want but I doubt anyone would be dumb enough to spend that kind of money to destroy a car when a cheaper model would do. I am aware of the theme of the movie. I am a fan of John as well. People have been adding stickers and stripes to cars to appear like performance models for 50 years. A car guy knows the difference. Other guys watch movies like The Fast and The Furious and actually think it is real.

@@ChunkeyMonkey40 STill no engine pictures.... John is a great guy that likes cars but is not a mechanic or a hardcore car guy. I've seen his videos and heard some technical errors. Show pictures or some legit documentation like the VIN. If you value your reputation, you'd strive to be accurate. Your title of the video could have left out the name "Hellcat" and been accurate for all applications.
