I love jumpstart, it lets me play draft like decks with friends that aren't invested enough to be good at drafting but still like the game. Genuinely one of my favorite products they ever made.

So excited for this, my LGS hosted a Jumpstart mini tournament and it was great. I even got to kill somebody with Triskaidekaphobia!

Jumpstart is a neat product when its done right. I was at my LGS and I asked someone who was waiting for the commander night if they'd like to play a match with me. It is super easy to get a game or two in with minimal people.

I think Wheeler actually won before the Chad ult tho, because Cameron was at 1 and Ben had the vampire that drains at the endstep

@@mikejh1604 it drains at upkeep, the only rules mistake was that Chad should have been at 16 instead of 17 (Cameron just messed up the dice)

Inventive Fangs was strangely synergistic, the card draw and control aspects of the Inventive pack allowed the grindy gain 'n' drain stuff from the Fangs pack to really show its stuff. By this I mean to say that this looks like a super fun format.

Turns out that Gideon WAS supposed to be at 16 loyalty, Cameron even audibly said it as he ticked Gideon up. He just put the second die at 5 instead of 4, and then everyone in the room just collectively assumed that Gideon was at 17 from that moment onward

39:24 The Gearseeker costs two. You announce it, assess the costs, then sac treasures to pay for it. Ie your treasures count towards affinity and mana.

The Archers without Reach thing is just one example of how many people seem to think that flavor in Magic can only be represented with a single mechanic. Just about every creature Keyword has at least several ways for it to be interpreted.

Yes, actual JumpStart (either edition) rules. The weird set-specific ones they were doing for a while are… acceptable inclusions in a JumpStart collection, at best.
