Great video. I like the fact that you didn’t promote just one brand. For example I found for R3000 assassin, I could get a higher spec Okuma or loomis. And budget is important. Two questions. 1.) with all the technology available, why are KP reels so popular still amongst the guys fishing for edibles.i saw guys with high end rods but using KP. 2.) what’s a good rod length and rating for general edible scratching.

1. Kp fishing is an art my brother. Its the original and initial reel that started this sport. Its a 1:1 ratio and that connection when fighting a fish is like no other

2. Personally i prefer a 15foot rod even for scratching as i prefer the bigger fish of the scratching fish. But 14 foot works also.

Hi. I am from Saudi Arabia and using 13.6ft rod with multiplier using pendulum casting..... high swing pendulum... wonder if you know this style.... the problem is that when you excel in sports you tend to get hooked into big fish more frequantly after using clipped down pully rigs with bigger baits at long ranges and 20/25 pound mono lines with 50/60 pound leaders against 5/6 ounce leads are no good. Need your kind suggestions as to what to look for in exact models of balanced outfit including rod,reel and braid and vendor to buy it from south africa with confidence. Thanks

Greetings brother. Thanks for your message. I know that casting action. I suggest you look into the Daiwa Saltiga 50HA reel and Shimano Technium 14 foot. It comes with two tips. One for medium and one for heavy.

Infact I want to look for south african style... its too easy to use this outfit and I could mange with this casting style...in this scenario kindly advise for rod reel which you recommend for using similar to what you use there... like zero or posedion rod or any of the new launches and matching grinders. Thanks

A very good value for money rod. One of the best for your buck

Thanks for the replies. Another question. You only mention grinders in your video. What about multipliers? Pros cons? For edibles
@JunIsmailFishing
@JunIsmailFishing Жыл бұрын
Multipliers and nylon work very well for edibles. However fewer people are now using it. But the pros are the nylon has more stretch so when edibles feed they less disturbed rather than a direct feeling of braid. Cons are you don't feel the bite as fast with braid. Also nylon is more abrasive.

Slms Junaid, i generally prefer lighter weight rods, I find it easier to get better distance. what would you suggest between a 14ft precision or a evo zero. Which would you suggest for better distance and overall strength to fight the fish. Looking to use to target kob. Any other rods you recommend on the more budget side?

Wslm. Budget wise the precision rod is really good bang for your buck. I however have not personally used it. I do own an Evo Zero 7 and really have faith in those rods.
