I think ever since he took a set off Djokovic at the Aus Open ( a year or two ago) you can tell that Tiafoe has started to take his game more seriously and improve it. Its amazing .

Tiafoe took care of Shang pretty easily, but Shang still played amazing today. Considering that he's fresh out of juniors and made round 2 of the AO is amazing. He still needs to increase the power on his serve and he has the height to do so. Shang should try to not get pushed too much behind the baseline because he'll easily get attacked (maybe get to the net more?). I have no doubt Shang will be a threat in the future.

I think Shang needs to improve both serve and return, I think a graphic at one point said Tiafoe had 19 aces to Shang’s 1. He’s still a teen though going against the big foe so he will get stronger as he keeps getting older.

Plus his temper too. In his cary challenger vs jordan thompson, he smashed his racket on the umpires chair, although the umpire did lots of mistakes too.
