Location was near Congerville, IL (between Peoria and Bloomington). Northern part of intense bow echo passed over my location, with measured wind gusts of at least 50mph (unfortunately my anemometer was having issues). This storm system originated from supercells in the high plains, ultimately growing upscale into a fast-moving linear complex and producing a swath of wind damage from Colorado through Indiana, riding along the periphery of a ridge where very high instability was present.
Stratiform lightning was common in this system, though it only resulted in one upward flash from the tower that I was camping. Daylight and haze from Canadian wildfires ruined most of my other lightning captures, however I threw in a couple bonus clips.
