I am a retired RCMP Officer living in a rural setting in Nova Scotia, Canada. I spend my time enjoying nature and feeding my furry friends, the raccoons. I also feed the deer in the winter months and many varieties of birds. I have two rescue cats named Connor and Charlotte.

Glad Jim is getting his rest. I learned after having surgery u have to take it easy especially at his age. Our bodies may not bounce back as it did when we were younger. You have to take it little by little and not over do it. That goes for u too Angie please be careful and take care of yourself. Let a company do your yard . Thank God u have good neighbors. Glad u are keeping the raccoons in check.Charlotte is so precious her and Connor. Hoping to see Sylvie again soon.

Angie be careful on that mower. Maybe ask Don to mow that area for you. I'm sure he wouldnt mind. You could have been seriously injured. Maybe use a weed whacker if possible in thst area. Hope Jim is feeling better. Hello to the kitties and raccoons. ❤

We got older also and we hired someone to come and cut the lawn. It was well worth it…..it gets harder and harder every year….

I am as old as Jim and we just can’t do as much as we use to. I do a few things and rest. And I know Jim usually drinks water but we have to keep it up. That is so important. So sorry, Jim, you don't feel well. 😊 Angie, I'm so glad you are ok. Two years ago, new neighbors moved in a new house. Three days later the husband was mowing. Wife looks out everything is good. Five minutes later she looked out and the mower had flipped over on top of him and he passed away right as she got to him. Please be careful. Love yall

Praying Jim gets back in track soon. When you've been out of commission then get to feeling better we sometimes go " whole hog" as the southern saying goes overdoing it. I've been guilty of it too. Thankfully you are there Angie! The raccoons are glad and Charlotte & Conner too. Appreciate all you & Jim do. Recovery takes time as I am recovering from surgery. Patience is a virtue it is said, well some times I do not feel very virtuous😂😂 hanging in there though! Take it easy Big Jim!❤

Is your leg ok? Good grief!! And my husband was working at the fire dept last week and rolled down a steep hill a few times on the riding mower! And he keeps it on the low speed 🐢! Praying for you both! And praying for good results on pet scan. ❤❤ Jim always seems to feel bad when he's due for another iron infusion. Praying his Drs can get on top of helping him feel better. 🙏🏼

Angie I am glad you are ok, you need to be careful on that lawnmower. I completely understand because I have a bad heart and it’s hard not to overdo when you’re feeling well and able to do things, feel better Jim!

My yard is soft at the edge too. Instead of trying to mow sideways, I go straight through the ditch and onto the road. Make a u turn in the road and do straight through the ditch again on the other side. I have to lift the mower deck in a couple of spots but no tipping.
