Correction: 12:44 The RG Akatsuki will be compatible with the Zeus , but not straight out of the box. You'll need connector parts that are only included with the P-Bandai exclusive RG Shiranui Akatsuki Gundam.

The elbows and knees on the strike aren't really bad, the issue to me are the hips and ankles. Also the skirts aren't a part of the frame doubt they'd reuse it.

There are a few details with RG Akatsuki stated in the product bio worth mentioning. One thing is they did confirm the RG Strike's frame is used, but only partially. How badly this will affect the kit, I cannot say, but man it's a shame they chose it. Secondly, they did say it's gonna be compatible with the Zeus Silhouette pack...except they clarified LATER saying it will be a P-Bandai expansion set WITH the Shiranui pack. So we are getting a separate Shiranui pack as P-Bandai. I'm still probably getting the kit, but man did Bandai did an amazing move in killing hype with their supposed "big December release". Though, on the bright side, it's apparently coming with an action base too! Probably to help it stand, but it's something!

I think the lift is meant to be a boom or utility lift, rather than some kind of command platform. The Zaku Tank started out as a Zaku Worker, and the lift could be used for maintenance access on mobile suits in the field.

5:20 I do have those old separate SD Strike Freedom, Impulse, Destiny, and Strike Noir still kept to this day. 😁😁 They do have stickers provided but some detailed parts needs abit of painting. SD Strike Freedom on the other hand with a single solid piece Wings sadly don't have dragoons gimmick.

I went to the gundam seed freedom collab cafe and they had various trailers for the movie on loop. I gotta say Lacus's quote hit so hard with the theme music (the 20 or so times i heard it). I was actually a bit disappointed it didn't have the bgm in the actual movie.

Here’s my hope for akatsuki. I hope that torso, waist and hip joints are new. Okay maybe the waist part is a wishful thinking knowing Bandai. While rg strike arms and legs are poopoo for most of the time, it’s still in the manageable side of things. What gets me mad about rg strike is its legs are prone to fall off if they can just fix that I can manage rg akatsuki with action base.

Let me be honest here, the fact we got 07 and 08 decals for the METEOR here means it would be more accurate lore-wise to also fit in the original G-Frame Strike Freedom and Infinite Justice, since Compass handed the Eternal and the METEORs to the Joule Team (the only members of ZAFT they can trust their tech secrets on).

Never had a gold plated kit, is the plating resistant? Im very scared to scratch dent it, I actually prefer metallic plastic injection, not as flashy but easier to sand, doesnt catch as many fingerprints and more durable

The non-Gundam announcements were more interesting than most of these (although given my anti-SEED stance that's understandable), but the Cal-RE (or however that symbol salad of a name is written, seriously what is up with Compass' mobile suit naming conventions?) manages to look quite pretty, and the Murasame Kai is very good-looking. Not sad about the partsforming transformation on it, perfect transformations that involved at HG scale only lead to tears. Barzam II continues to be the most interesting and it's nice to have a release date. Surprised to learn that the folding claw at the bottom of the, er, protrusion is now a full sub-arm though. That's... a choice. Wing Zero MGSD is really great but I already have the MG Ver Ka it's based on and I don't really like doubling up. I am looking forward to the 30MM Armored Core kits and the HG Gunleon coming up! Also hoping that 30 Minutes Fantasy is good as well, they look like fun.

"back when rg didnt used to be robust"...they still arent. The RG god gundam has the most ill conceived arm locking mechanism i have experienced. that thing is not even on my shelf. its in my "to throw away" box, right next to 80% of my other RGs.
