This is a great channel for people wanting to know about typical, family owned, dairy farming in the USA. It’s wholesome, very interesting and informative and Eric does a fantastic job showing and explaining the everyday, wide variety of events/jobs that are needed to maintain and improve a successful family dairy business. One of the best things I have seen over the few years of being subscribed to his channel is that Eric appears to put all the revenue from his videos back into improvements and advancements to his family’s farm, which ultimately benefits all USA citizens who use dairy products! Many Kudos Eric! Keep it going so everyone knows how their dairy products are produced and the massive effort it takes to produce a gallon of milk that cost only 3 or 4 dollars a gallon to us at the store. The farmers receive far, far less than that to produce it!

To help your issue with the planter going in the ground, you need to add weight to each row unit. Adding weight to the main frame won't help nearly as much. Lots of parts interchange between a john deere 7000 or 7100 planter and your kinze. That may help in searching for a down force kit. I would use air bags because they are much simpler of a system.

Hi from New Zealand. Just found your channel and have been binge watching all the episodes. Great content. It blows me away the amount of infrastructure and machinery etc you guys invest in to run a dairy. Is it actually profitable?
@10thgenerationdairyman613 күн бұрын
Welcome! Yeah it all fits within the business. We sell over 6 million pounds of milk a year plus beef so there is enough revenue there to justify some investments in buildings and equipment.
@CMDSR5 күн бұрын
Nothing like having to go through stuff you’ve been saving for years for those “ just in case” needs. Then you wind up with stash of 200 five gallon buckets or a bunch of tires that dry rotted. Well there’s always FB market place.
