That brawl with JB and Moriarty looked really good, it felt like they were really scrapping. Those 2×4 hits also looked good, this was a good segment all around, im interested to see what they do with Jungle Boy and Hook.

Everything hook throws he does with such power and passion. He puts emphasis on all his moves. That’s something very very different in the wrestling entertainment world. He definitely is unique like an ultimate warrior or an undertaker. He just brings a vibe that’s never really been seen before in the wrestling world

My favorite part about this segment is when Jungle Boy comes out, and when he storms off with the pyro going off behind him and goes on attack, the crowd rages on to his theme after the music cuts off! Gave me chills for some reason! Jungle Boy and Hook are the best duo as wrestling partners

I think Hathaway is gonna regret messing with Hook and Jungle Boy in the not too distant future. Hook is showing a no effs given attitude to them, and Jungle Boy is just straight pissed. He's also been a bit of a "giant slayer" lately with wins over Luchasaurus and Brian Cave

Fair play to the jobber, bumped like a boss for Hook, one of the better squashes you'll see cos it looked genuinely vicious. The reaction to Hook nearly hitting that T-Bone was awesome too, if they do it right they'll get a nuclear pop when Hook eventually hits it on Big Bill.

That tease on the T Bone was awesome. Because of the way they've built Hook up, you believed he could do it for that split second. This pairing of Jungle Boy and Hook is so interesting, you have the quintessential white meat babyface and this borderline anti hero, and yet the pairing totally works. It's kinda like Batman and Superman teaming up

@@willn8664 it was only ever a filler piece until Orange Cassidy healed his shoulder. It's a shame to make zero mention of it again, but hopefully Danhausen will be more active in the ring next year now that he's fully healed up from his leg break and moving back into ring shape. And a ring-active Danhausen increases the chance of crossing paths with Hook again.

I also think the Lee Moriorty match was a good addition. First time I saw someone get offense on Hook consistently but yea more solid Hook matches in 2023.

From the moment Hook dbuted I didn't like him or even understand what his gimmick was supposed to be. I think I sort of understand what it is now. For some reason, he feels like a Street Fighter character who is genuinely pulling off supernatural shit. His technique in the ring is absolutely amazing and that near life on Morrisey was just incredible. Turned into a fan. Though I do hope that AEW gives Morrisey time to shine at some point, he's got the looks to be a menace.

@@danhunt285 that's because people are idiots and forget that pro wrestling is a stage show. Yes, Big Bill did a little jump to assist the spot, but that's how all (most) suplexes work anyway, but Hook still had to control the rotation and body position when performing the move.
