I'm not a death metal fan. I listened to a lot of famous death bands and it didn't really grab me. But these guys are hot! Dave doesn't bark or scream like most vocalists in this style, he sings! What great albums they have! It's a big mystery to me why these guys are so underrated in the music world. They are much cooler than those who are considered icons of this style. They have melodies that are catchy, not just guitar strumming and growling. They deserve great popularity. Probably their low popularity is the problem of bad management and lack of big money.

My absolute favorite band after Testament. This album does not disappoint. It seems nothing can top the last one though. That album is my favorite album of all time.

@@mikerauter1859 that is pure junk. Norwegian black metal is terrible . The vocals absolutely suck. The guitar tone is dreadful. The drums sound like trash cans. So yes I'm serious. American death metal is the best.

@@anthonydalicandro8848 I respect your opinion but I did want to clarify if you understand the tones and sounds that you deride are intentional? The guitars deliberately sound like garbage etc... The whole point is to create a vision of evil and despair, and in Xasthur's case painting atomspheres of depression and suicide.
