I like how Jungle Rot are still old school death metal, but with an updated sound. Superior musicianship! Been a fan for over 15 years, will be as long as they rock like this!

Who cares if it's been done? Someone writes a folk song, a dance track or a piano concerto, people don't criticise it for being in a particular genre. It's just something to enjoy. Just because someone has done something similar in the past, that doesn't necessarily lessen it as art.

Didn't mean to sound like criticism, but that it's hard to get into newer metal when you've heard stuff just like it 25 years ago. Doesn't lessen it as art, but part of metal's original appeal was that it was different from anything else. Ironically, that also limits the genre's room for change a bit. I'm old school, and when I was younger I thought anything pre-Metallica was crap. That attitude changed dramatically as I got older. Sunrise, sunset.
