with all due respect bc I LOVED spica so much, they did not have the personalities to be idols. they would have made a great indie group but they were too offbeat and genuine to make it in the idol market

Their style isn't something that fit the mainstream audience, something which is quite important if idols want to last. They also weren't exactly the prettiest idols out there, and many do care about looks, even if it's not necessarily the deciding factor.

@@BenefitCounterbench That's a sign that they are quite different. As much as we tend to think we are unique, which we are, we also tend to follow the pack. In this case, it'd be following trends and such. There'll be times when we deviate, but on a larger scale, there's very little difference. In South Korea, it's probably more prominent than in many other countries, because it's so homogenous. Of course, things have changed a bit in the recent years, as people seem to have become a bit more individualistic, likely due to international influence.

Very glad you had EXID in the mix. They are being all but forgotten. Nice to see Mamamoo in your list too. I have always loved that medley, especially because they include EXID’s Up & Down and Ah Yeah. Thank God Mamamoo are still going strong.
