Absolutely humble. Damien is such a good looking brother and very talented just like his father. Omg! I love his voice& accent. Most other artists that are pretty famously known, maybe not all of them, but many have a completely different response than this. The exact opposite on fact. They'd be like" No, that's mad cappin, being a great pretender, fake as hell, sampling, etc, etc, etc, the list goes on and on. People cant just be gracious, show some humility, be thankful, feel flattered and pride that other people/different walks of life enjoy your style, your culture, your heritage, your sound, the vibes so much so that they themselves want to emulate or imitate it by incorporating it into their own music. He’s definitely his father’s son. Bob once agreed to open for an American R&B group back in the day. At the time he was way more popular on an international level; however, he did it because he wanted the music to reach the people. One of my biggest regrets in life is that I never saw him perform life😢he was amazing…so conscious- he’d be proud of his kids -

Im all the way from the Seychelles island, and Jamaica has always been a biiiig influence when it comes to the music culture, our patois is french based but we still try to use the jamaican style patois when we do english songs 👌🏿👌🏿 we love Jamaica 💪🏾🫶🏾 n to me Jamaican sound like they're singing when speaking their patois, just add the beat for real 😜👌🏿

To b fair, it's actually a huge Jamaican presence in parts of Canada. So a lot of terms and dialect u hear is a mix of that Patois. Same thing in the UK too

there’s loads of Jamaicans over here in the US too but our main influence is predominantly AAVE along with Gullah to certain levels and all American Accents mainly have a mixture of AAVE but also Gullah which both American dialects sound similar to Bahamian and Liberian accents which is interesting because they have their related share of historical connection.

Movie was inaccurate and disrespectful to daimens mother. Rita and bob had not been together for many years he chased Cindy from she was 15 and wrote some of his most famous songs about her. Rots had kids to other men and was living with a man. Married to Bob on paper but not together. Rita was a secret not Cindy. Bob told everyone it's was his sister, only in his death did people find out he was ever married. But the world new about Cindy when he was alive

I know a little bit about Jamaica and patois, but like I feel that if you know how to speak to someone in their vernacular, that means you’ve taken the time out of your life enough to understand and respect who they are, how they speak in where they’re coming from, even if it’s only to communicate. I mean, and usually when you greet someone in a friendly manner in their binocular, and they realize all those things at once they understand that you understand them that’s not a bad thing.
