This was my favorite licensed song from Dance Dance Revolution for such a long time. Over the years, I would hear it pop up here and there like in a commercial, a movie, a throwback pop radio channel, etc. Now Nicki Minaj very recently (~New Year 2024) used a beat that heavily samples it, and it keeps the irresistible urge to dance while modernizing it. I was so excited to show my boyfriend because he has long since tapped out of pop music and hip-hop in general because I knew he'd love this, and sure enough it's now one of his favorite songs...as is this modern classic. 🧡 I'm sorry that Junior Senior had a pretty short career because this album had plenty of bangers, like "Shake Your Coconuts", but either way thanks to the internet and social media, I'm so glad they are finally getting their flowers. 🌹

My parents were in the midst of a messy divorce around the time this music video was released. I remember the first time I ever heard it I was unpacking my stuff in my new room at the duplex I was moving into with my dad after getting uprooted from my school and all my friends. In a moment of sadness and darkness this song brought light and joy.

“Move Your Feet” is a 2003 pop song by the Danish duo Junior Senior that became most well-known for its pixel art-influenced music video on the web. Since its KZfaq upload in early 2008, the music video has inspired a series of hand cut GIF animations on Something Awful, DeviantART and elsewhere online. The pixel art for the “Move Your Feet” music video was originally drawn by art collective Shynola using its signature style of low-resolution pixel art with the bitmap graphics editor Deluxe Paint.
