The Junkyard Pirates led by The Deacon (Dennis Hopper) attack Atoll, a secret sea base where The Mariner (Kevin Costner) is imprisoned.
Waterworld (1995): The polar ice caps have melted down and most of Earth is underwater. In this situation, a mutated mariner fights starvation and reluctantly helps a woman and a young girl find dry land.

The mechanical set design of the movie is equally mad and gorgeous!

DON'T CARE what the critics, or anyone else for that matter has to say about the movie. This is a masterpiece.

Truth. Nailed. It was a great movie with alotta great action scenes and set pieces. And it's got the legendary Dennis Hopper as a hillarious villain.

This movie seemed to rely too much on the sets and action scenes the latter of which were rarely believable. Why is there always a rope with a grappling hook nearby when ever Costner needs one or a bungie cord that is just the perfect length to jump down and pluck the kid out of the water? I hate movies that have solutions to problems that require unbelievable luck. Star Trek was bad for that. Recalibrate the phase array!!????? Great Idea! Why didn't I think of that?!!! 😂🤣😂🤣

Water cannons, slingshots and trebuchets against artillery, assault forces and attack vehicles. They have opened that shell as if it were a boiled egg.
