At the time of this filming, there was only one partial skeleton of a Spinosaurus found about 100 years ago. It was in a German museum and it got bombed in WW2 I think. It was years after this movie was made when they found another partial skeleton.

I saw this in the theater with my parents and we enjoyed it very much. Even though it ends on a cliffhanger, there are novels and websites that explain what happened to the Pterosaurs at the end of the movie.

1) Jurassic Park was Nublar. Jurassic Park 2 and 3 were Sorna. 2) The one that killed the Rex is Spinosaurus. They did say it's name but y'all talked over it. 3) It's Pteranadon not Pterodactyl. 4) The one with the horn on the nose was Ceratasaurus. Just cuz you don't recognize it doesn't mean it's a hybrid. There are literally hundreds of dinos y'all don't know about lol JP3 was the first of the trilogy I ever saw when I was 3 years old and it made me fall in love with not only the franchise, but prehistory in general. JP3 will always be my absolute favorite out of all 6 Jurassic films.

This is actually my second favorite in the franchise. I think the Dinosaurs look their best in this movie. Specifically the Velociraptors. And this one just feels more like a horror movie compared to The Lost World.

I personally enjoyed Jurassic park 3 obviously the other 2 were better. I loved seeing how the special effects improved significantly cool to see a Spinosaurus which was the big dinosaur that you were unsure of what it was sadly he defeated a trex too quick. He was over exaggerated a bit but still super cool.

The main Dinosaur star of this movie is a meat-eater from Northern Africa known as Spinosaurus. One of the main reasons he was brought into the spotlight is because when this movie came out, Spinosaurus was a very poorly-known Dinosaur (the only major specimen of it that had ever been found had been destroyed by a daylight bombing raid during World War II). However, this film became very divisive because of the scene where it killed a T-Rex, especially when studies on Spinosaurus following the film's release showed just how wrong this film really got this Dinosaur. Whereas the film portrays Spinosaurus as a big-game hunter capable of challenging a T-Rex, paleontology has shown the actual Spinosaurus to be a Dinosaur that spent most of its life in the WATER and primarily hunted fish. Also, Spino would have been DEAD after that first bite it got from the T-Rex (it also never would have been able to break the T-Rex's neck so easily). Scientific research has shown Spinosaurus to be so opposite what the film portrayed that it got to the point where the filmmakers actually went and retconned the Spino's origin story to where it was a Dinosaur whose genetic code had been HEAVILY modified and experimented on by InGen until it only barely matched the actual animal (and because of all the experimentation, it REALLY did not like humans).
