The funny thing about this game is that it really is a good example of Ian Malcolm's Chaos Theory. It doesn't matter how well you build the park, as a complex system it inevitably gets out of control. Either the dinosaurs find some way to escape, people eventually grow bored of the exhibits, or the violent weather conditions of Costa Rica ruins everything.

I always heard people say that, but really didn't have too much of a problem with it. The biggest thing was to watch the weather forecast for tornadoes, and send the visitors home before one arrived. Have a bit of money to repair the fences as they get broken, maybe replace any dinos that get hurt. Aside from the tornadoes, once I figured out how to play, I never had incidents with dinosaurs escaping, or much problem with exhibits and amenities. The reason I stopped playing the game all those years ago was I had essentially come up with a formula for the park, so each time I played I was basically manufacturing another copy of The Park.

Pretty sure dinosaurs can't escape concrete walls if they're thick enough, weather can easily be countered by forecast and planning ahead, and people still go to zoos every day, you think people are gonna get bored of dinosaurs???

Best JP game i ever played ....only thing that cracks me up is the imitation voices ....especially on guys who are supposed to be dead like ray arnold when he goes HEEEEEEEEY!!!! ..... ...they should totally have given muldoon the "they should all be destroyed" quote lol

Okay, they need to bring in those hot air balloons for one of the add ons or updates to JWE2. I never played this game and always wanted to, but couldn't because of emulating and pricing issues. But I'm glad there's spiritual successors to it. This intro looks amazing!!

I love this game :D its awesome and I loved the missions too (although I wish there were more) and whenever I finally reached five stars I would let my dinosaurs loose on the park and watch them eat the guests XD wait, that doesn't sound too insane does it?

I kind of wish the gameplay was more literally about the hand of god plucking dinosaurs from the sky and plopping them onto earth. It's really adorable seeing that tiny little T-rex flop around in a giant hand and then angrily snap at it like a fussy cat.

I love JWE2 but the intro for JPOG seems to capture why I loved JPOG. Its simplicity, "Just build a park and populate it with dinosaurs."

Even though JW:E and JW:E2 (and eventually JW:E3) has everything from the first game. Minus the Balloon tour.. they never felt as difficult as JPOG. I find myself abusing the money cheat a few times, twisters are ACTUALLY intimidating rather than annoying, and visitors had actual needs. But most of all, that sweet sweet soundtrack. Especially Chase, Breakout, and twister. Those were absolute bangers back then.

@StartledSloth Yeah, but i think a Jurassic Park PRG game would be kinda weird, i think that what we need is something like Return to Jurassic Park Mod for Crysis (An Open-world jungle enviorement with scenes from the films, The visitor center, The T-rex Paddock etc.) Imagine being in a dense jungle, and then sudently you ear a roar and a T-rex appears... That would so RULE!!!!

@Jurassicparkfan1001 The problem with this game is the behaviour of dinosaurs, Like herbivores, instead of walking in a large group, they tend to break and form little groups and sometimes you see individuals. but as you said, it is a good game, and I actually think that this game needs a sequal for the new consoles with better graphics and advanced features.

Fortunately, Jurassic world evolution fixed what ruined this game: not being able to have all the dinosaurs because you could only have 3 excavation sites in a saved game

@StartledSloth RPG??? Open world??? I think you might be a little confused man, trespasser was not an RPG, its was an FPS and it was not Open-world either, you could climb mountains that were more than 11 inches...
