I remember replaying this game for hours as a kid. As an adult I don’t think I would have done that. The secondary survival mode was ok, but it lacked depth. The music and ambience is what kept me playing. The game doesn’t take itself too seriously beyond taking the epic action movie trope and letting you ride with it. Hence why the gameplay itself isn’t horribly difficult. I’m certain if you play this as a chill game to run the background when your bored it would give way more enjoyment than if your trying to play something try hard mode. Also if I may add. Why the final cutscene was made so well in comparison to the others I have no clue. The quality of the final cutscene is insane compared to the rest of the game lmao 🤣

I don’t think the game needed to make sense. It’s supposed to be a action movie trope esc type game. That’s supposed to be played casually. Not really a super compatible game. The storyline and everything else about the game are wacky af, but I think that may have been done intentionally. And even if it wasn’t it fit the story well.

Honestly if I could have a remaster or remake i would prefer turok evolution over this. But if this was a choice I would remake this in a heart beat. This game presented itself as more a casual shooter with action movie elements blended with that trope. And it fit well. If it simply had more content and more development time it could have been 10* better. I really wouldn’t mind it coming back because very few games are within this kid of casual fantasy shoot action genre (without competitive elements). The best we have is doom and that’s pretty much it. You can argue halo and call of duty are similar but they stick fairly grounded to well known tropes and ignore a lot of the fantasy elements and stick to the multiplayer for the most part. I wouldn’t mind a linear game with levels that felt like traditional games so long as there are a lot to them and there’s a reason to replay the game. Extra features like multiplayer and level creator wouldn’t be bad additions either. And I feel a game like this would be great if it emulates doom. Since they would a share so much similar elements. Both also have badass music. And unlike doom the characters in this one have a general direction.
