"I was with the Navy. Not the Navajo." Get's me every time, I love it. I'm Navajo, I watched this in my hometown with my siblings (the Navajo Nation is about 30 miles from us) and when Owen said that, the theater just erupted in cheers, people were whistling & clapping, it was awesome. We love a good shout out. Lol

“She did not deserve that.” Sums up how most feel about Zara’s death. That is such a brutal scene, and Zara was not enough of a villain to make that anything else besides horrific.

Jurassic park is not about dino-heroes killing villain. Take a look at Udesky's desth in JP 3 or Robert Muldoon. Everyone can get killed in savage way. They are animals.

I like it. Shows the brutal reality of life and death. Death doesn't discriminate. Good innocent people get fucked up sometimes. Do children deserve school shootings? Do zebra and wildebeest deserve to be torn to shreds by crocodiles and lions? Zara didn't deserve that death but 🤷‍♂

Yes that was in fact the OG t-rex, lovingly called Rexie by the fans. You can tell by the scars on her neck from the raptors from the first film. She was recaptured for the new park.

1. Blank's editing is always spot on. 2. You are the reaction King 3. Those raptor's run is freakin' awesome; all tucked up and graceful. 4. Water-saur scared me too at the end. It was glorious though! 5. I vacationed in Michigan last month and drove from Whitefish Point lighthouse back to east Tennessee. Drove past Detroit...thought about what you say in your reactions...got gas in Ohio. Thanks for the laughs big guy.

The ending and why the T Rex was king of the land back then. It knew better than to stand next to a big body of water. The new one was just designed so it doesn't have that knowledge. Blue and the T Rex were both standing back.

The film has some elements of the first Jurassic Park novel as well as The Lost World: Pterosaurs attacking the helicopter and tourists was from the first novel, as Grant and the kids try to make their way through the Aviary. Zach and Grey jumping into the water, to hide from the Indominus Rex,is from the first novel where Lex and Tim hide from the Rex in a waterfall. The dinosaur loses their scent and leaves. The Indominus Rex camouflaging was from the second novel, where Carnotaurus can camouflage into any environment, having cuttlefish genes implanted during the cloning process. Its also an homage to PREDATOR, where Dutch and his men encounter the alien. The Raptor/Motorcycle chase was from the second book, where a Velociraptor takes the keys to the radio room accidentally, having Nick Van Owen and Sarah Harding chase the dinosaur through a herd of Apatosaurus. It was going to be in JURASSIC PARK 3, but it was scrapped. The dying Apatosaurus is from the first novel, as well as the movie, where Owen and Claire comfort the sauropod, until she slips away. Vic Hoskins appearance is based on Robert Muldoon's appearance from the original novel. The egg containing the Indominus Rex, hatching, is homage to the first film. Lowery Carruthers, the tech guy, is loosely based on Dennis Nedry from both the book and the movie, but this time, he's not a saboteur, he's a good guy. The T.Rex that fights the Indominus is the same one from 1993, Rexy. In the original script, she's called Roberta, while fans have named her Rexy.

5:52 - This little boy is speaking for all of us right here. 7:00 - You've seen him in THIS. This guy was the lab technician in the first movie, and he's back as the same character. (I mentioned before that in the original book he wanted to make the dinosaurs more like people expected rather than like they 'really were': to 'augment' reality, so to speak. Well now he's getting to do that, but the other way: making the dinosaurs MORE fantastic than reality.) 15:10 - He ain't trippin', he's starting a meme. 31:29 - Another moment from the original book. I mentioned in previous videos about how the book had a big river scene and that the waterfall scene in Lost World was from that too? This jump was also part of that sequence. 34:30 - As I recall, those goggles made you jump in the first movie, too. 37:33 - Because they're jackasses. 42:38 - Probably no better time than now to mention that in earlier drafts of the script it was going to be revealed that the I-Rex actually had HUMAN DNA. That would have explained how it was so intelligent and many of it's less natural behaviors. My favorite part of this bit of trivia is that apparently Chris Pratt's reaction to this information would have been EXACTLY what my reaction would have been in his shoes: "Well, that's just idiotic." 49:09 -Heeeeerrrrreeee's ROBERTA!!! 52:50 - Roberta, Queen of Isla Nublar.

I like this movie. Probably my second favorite in the series behind the original. It gets too much hate. It was a good first movie for a new generation of Jurassic Park fans, much like the original was. The next two aren't as good, but neither were the original second and third films when compared to the first.

Starlord riding that bike with a team of bad ass raptors hunting other dangerous dinos is one of my favorite parts of the movie. Very, very bad ass! Also is it really shocking that a well financed military would want trained raptors? We have had animals going to war with us for centuries if not thousands of years.

The advantage being 4 movies into this franchise is actually having that thrilling AF element of "raptor taming" - because at this point, you know HOW dangerous those creatures are and how you would better not mess with them. That was great. And when that thing happened in the 3rd act, you just felt the danger. And in retrospect: That movie is still gorgeous to look at. It just oozes quality and passion for the project. Soundtrack, colors, visuals, the mood... love it.

I just love the sound of the dinosaurs. Sounds awesome. Especially the raptors. If a tiger roar can make you feel it in your bones I can only imagine what a T. rex one would do.

Here are a few facts about the first Jurassic World: -Jurassic World was planned since Jurassic Park 3, but was called "Jurassic Park 4". Hybrids of a mixture of dinosaurs and humans were planned for the films. However, Spielberg was not satisfied with this and was often rewritten. The project was discontinued in 2007 after Michael's death. The project has only been revived since 2012 -The Jurassic World Velociraptors were planned as Jurassic Park 3 Velociraptors. -Blue was planned as a male JP3 Velociraptor named Red -Spielberg was the one who came up with the idea of using velociraptors for the military -Spielberg was the reason the JW Velociraptors didn't have feathers because he said „dinosaurs with feathers weren't scary“.

Not to mention it would have been insane to give the raptors feathers as they were their own made up species in a sense. Can also hold the position the frog DNA and other fillers prevented the feathers.

@@Milner62 The sad part is, the simply substituted one species for another for Velociraptors. Even the dinosaur they used in the movies most likely had feathers as well. The frog DNA thing was always weird, since birds are their living descendants, not frogs.

I saw this in theaters and never again, the only thing I remembered was Chris Pratt, the built Black dude and the lady running in heels the whole movie. This was better than I remember, I was rooting loud for the OG T-Rex and raptors.

Even in the first Jurassic Park book they had a lethal weapon (Muldoon had a pair rocket launchers and there was shed full of nerve gas) it's just that Hammond never let Muldoon use it because the dinosaurs were "valuable"

Jurassic World had been up and running since 2005, and until the events of the movie happened, people eventually got bored of the place, so they had to make new and new dinosaurs to make people get interested enough to come back again Zara, the woman assigned to look after Zac and Grey is the first female character to die in the entire franchise, so they wanted to make her death drawn and and memorable. In-universe, she was about to get married to her fiance, so that's rather unfortunate. That being said, the actress did not need a stunt double, she wanted to play her character's death scene herself Clair having heels in the entire movie was actually something her actress had wanted, and actually argued and fought for In-universe, John Hammond died shortly after the events of the second movie. In real life, the actor who played John Hammond died sometime before the movie was made

The film's Velociraptors were a bit bigger than Deinonychus. Funny enough, just two years before the debut of "Jurassic Park," a new dinosaur was discovered called the Utahraptor which is nearly identical to the Velociraptors seen onscreen. "Jurassic World" will bring back basically the same Velociraptors as before. So I found that to be pretty neat.

Chris Pratt was a kid, when the first Jurassic Park movie came out. He said he didn't even think about becoming an actor back then. And now he's playing a big part in the franchise.
