Totally agree with you! That paint scheme is absolutely gorgeous! Also, if you watch the original Jurassic Park when John Hammond meets Grant and Ellie, there is a Carnegie model of a Diplodocus, in the RV. During the "small versions of Adults, Honey" and when they stand up and Grant says "We just dug up a new skeleton..." in the upper left, behind them. 👊😜🦖

@@CrimsonRaptors That’s right! That Carnegie Diplodocus model in the background’s a ‘blink and you’ll miss it’ kinda detail; it took me a couple of viewings in my later years to spot that.

In addition, there's a couple of young Diplodocus (without the spines, although, even young iguanas do not have those as developed) with adults (in a mural) in Lockwood's Manor. I believe it's in the display to the right of where Claire gets her leg stuck in the dry wood trees. 👊😎

This is awesomeness!!! There's even paint down the neck that connects with the belly and paint along the tail!!!🤯 Now all we need is the American Titanosaur, *Alamosaurus* (the skeleton shown battling a Tyrannosaurus rex in the Visitor Center Rotunda) and the full list of on screen sauropods will be completed. The sculpt is pretty incredible, and I'm glad that the head and neck as the movement to go up and level with the body. I see Mattel went the "Walking with Dinosaurs" way and added the tuberculate scales along the top, of which, there is no scientific evidence for. And the Carnegie model of a Diplodocus in Grant and Ellie's RV does not have those, but it will certainly add a unique look on our shelves, and I appreciate that. You guys just keep getting better and better after each long-necked dinosaur. I'd love to see a newly redone Apatosaurus (maybe as a *Brontosaurus* just mess with all of us, lol) with that kind of greater articulation and longer tail and sharper toe claws to be more accurate. Keep up the amazing work, Mattel, and thank you for adding paint along the tail as well! 👊😎🍻

Splendid! Jurassic World's first new Diplodocus figure! Mattel should definitely make more new Jurassic World dinosaur figures for the future! I suggest them to make the Glacialisaurus, Dracoraptor, Cearadactylus, Fukuisaurus, Beipiaosaurus, Raptorex, Nipponosaurus, & Gigantoraptor figures for example!🦕Trembling Torvosaurus!🦖

For sure, bro! I'd love to have a somewhat, Classic '93 Kenner-style Jurassic Park Command Compound that opens up to reveal a 2nd Floor Control room for Nedry and Arnold, then maybe a small rotating theater "ride" (with break-a-way glass for the Raptor) in the main section. Have a Hatchery/Genetics Lab for a second, smaller, section, for Dr. Wu and Dr. Maya Joshi. Then a Kitchen and Dining Room in the 3rd Section. Then you open up and spread out the two sections where on one side, it matches somewhat to the front of the Visitor's Center, but the inside reveals the Rotunda, complete with Alamosaurus and Tyrannosaurus rex skeletons. Maybe something that would be compatible with the STEM Skeletons released for Jurassic World Fallen Kingdom. I also would like to have a garage of some kind for the large amount of Jurassic Park/World motorpool we have now, along with a Patio dining area, and the Emergency Bunker. And of course the Raptor Pen, but maybe if the Command Compound sells well, they could add more expansion or add-on playsets. Man, wouldn't that be the dream? I hope this Jurassic Era movie is going to do really well to bring more of the focus back on Jurassic Park, as we move further aware from Jurassic World's storyline. Make mine Jurassic! 👊😜🦖

Disappointing now don't get me wrong it a very cool figure but I thought Legacy Collection is for figures from past movies and last I checked Diplodocus wasn't in any of the films. Diplodocus should of been a regular release

Nice work. The Diplodocus looks very good, but after the Mamenchisaurus ( that looks for me more like a Barosaurus) it is a bit to similar. What would you think about a Saltasaurus or Shunosaurus?

It appears as an Easter Egg in Jurassic Park. There's a Carnegie model set on top the shelf in Grant's trailer. Though it might not have appeared alive in the films, _Mamenchisaurus_ (formerly Seismosaurus in the early TLW drafts) does serve as a spiritual successor.

I find it strange they picked this one since aside from the baby Diplodocus statues in Lockwood Manor in Fallen Kingdom, they never appear in the films. But I am hoping to get this one at some point in an affordable price. Since I can custom paint it to look like the Walking with Dinosaurs Diplodocus.

@@jurassicroom7673 Canonicly they were Deinonychus. He was calling them Velociraptor becuase the book Predatory Dinosaurs of the World, which was Chrichton’s reference book described them as subspecies of the same animal.

You know, Diplodocus means "double-beam lizard " courtesy of the double-beamed vertebrae that makes its long whip-like tail. Diplodocus once lived in the late Jurassic period of what is now Wyoming and Colorado over 145 million years ago.

@@CrimsonRaptors ah, it's a 1988 Carnegie Diplodocus. I noticed a generic looking sauropod figure along with other little things in the RV since the first time I saw it, but I never knew the history. Still, it seems like a pretty cheap excuse behind having this thing in the legacy collection. The least they could've done is give it a green color scheme akin to that model, but instead they went for essentially the Mamenchi paint scheme with a black neck and head.
