Fear the Gobblesaurus!! I kid this is another incredible repaint.

"Raptor" is just the greek word for thief, being more than once used in naming theropod dinosaurs, the family you think as "raptors" are dromaeosaurids, also containing non-raptor named species like the Troodon, the titular dromaeosaurus and the Deinonichus (the OG inspiration for the JP Raptors), think of it of how the CERATOsaurus isn't a CERATOpsid. With that being said, I really like this repaint, there is something in dinos with the head of a different color from the body that reminds me of the pictures in some dinosaur books I had as a child and hits me square in the nostalgia.

It's funny because I always see these figures in stores and think "man, if only the paintwork wasn't so lazy, they might actually look decent" and man does this ever look sweet!

Every since this video, the Megaraptor has been sold out completely on Amazon. It's amazing what a great paint job can make you rethink certain figures. Shit, it got me trying to track this clever gurl.

I recently got this figure also and it will be my first repaint ever. I'm still gathering art supplies, but this is a great jump off point for me to get some ideas for this guy. I really liked the sculpt on this one. Yours looks really beautiful. Seriously though, male turkeys and roosters can be some nasty critters when they want to be. I've seen both fight off dogs with no problem. I'd imagine this thing would just EAT your dog, lol.

The Megaraptor was a Wind-type elemental with pure green skin tone and yellow stripe from its head, running down its back and ends at the tail. And a feathery crest yellow and finishes with purple line up top.

I'm doing a modding/repaint of this beautiful dino action figure: sharpened the arms and feet claws, build a new tail with right proportions with the help of a friend (he has got a 3D printer) and doing a sort of painting of the JP3 male raptor!!!

Here's a fun fact... we don't know what megaraptor is even closely related to. We don't know if it's closely related to carcharodontosaurids, we don't know if it's closely related to tyrannosaurs. Currently we say they are coelurosaurs (hollow tailed theropods), but were is still up to debate. As of now they are non-tyrannoraptoran coelurosaur theropods. Megaraptors, have to be the least well known theropods, in terms of popular culture, because... we don't know a lot about them.

Another Megaraptor was seen in season 2 Dinosaur King and it was under the control of the girl Spectral Space Pirate Sheer. The Megaraptor under her control, Sheer can power up her Dinosaur with Spectral Armor and make it use an attack called Hurricane Beat.

How is it a disappointment that it is not a dromaesoridae? It might even be better, right? The sickle-shaped claws are on the fingers of the hands and not on the feet, which is much more interesting for the attack... which is not the case otherwise.
