Jurus Tunggal Baku diperagakan oleh Nguyen Thi Thuy atlet pencak silat Vietnam dalam SEA Games 2017 di Malaysia.
Jurus Tunggal Baku adalah rangkaian gerak yang wajib diperagakan oleh atlet dalam pertandingan pencak silat kategori tunggal, sesuai dengan hasil kongres Persilat (Persekutuan Pencak Silat Antarabangsa) pada tahun 1998. Jurus Tunggal Baku terdiri dari 14 jurus, yaitu 7 jurus tangan kosong, 3 jurus bersenjata golok, dan 4 jurus bersenjata toya.
Jurus Tunggal Baku disusun oleh tim yang anggotanya terdiri dari pakar pencak silat dari empat negara pendiri Persilat, yaitu dari IPSI (Ikatan Pencak Silat Indonesia), Pesaka (Persekutuan Silat Kebangsaan Malaysia), Persisi (Persekutuan Silat Singapura) dan Persib (Persekutuan Pencak Silat Kebangsaan Brunei Darussalam).

Wow! I've been doing martial arts over 50 yrs. Not too much impressed me, but this Young Lady did! Absolutely Awesome. Her movements, power and rhythm really engaged me. Her face showed a Warrior satisfied in battle with no fear of her opponents. She's Amazing! I watched this several times and even saved it. Lots of Love, Luck and Best Wishes in 2024 from South Florida, USA.

You are right. She doesn't appear fatigued at all after over 3 minutes of very athletic moves and her form contained open hand and multiple weapons. This is remarkable.

I echo the previous comments. After 55 years of study...I am rarely impressed. However, the form, balance, technical precision and execution were top tier! Congratulations to this performer and her teacher!

Her name is Nguyen Thi Thuy. This performance recalls the pre-Islamic origins of Silat with their Hindu and animistic gods inhabiting the practitioner and expressed in the abrupt posturing, unique facial expressions, superhuman precision of actions and persona of the "possessed" fighter. The fact that she shows no sign of fatigue or panting is another indicator. That is the face of a warrior spirit that revels in battle. Amazing.

I've seen quite a few katas over the decades, but her beauty, grace, poise, technical skill, and the confidence of her movements are truly mesmerizing. Oh, and for the non-martial artists watching: you might not want to piss her off. Keep in mind that each movement is, or is part of, a legitimate self-defense technique.

Seem more karate-like, very athletic. Cameraman needs to film the whole body especially the connection of the legs to the ground and how that translate through the body.

I’m a former Martial Arts Instructor, had my own Dojo back in the early 70s. She’s very good and her movement’s are precise. That’s years of dedication right there.

Wow! I don't understand the technical aspects of the moves but it was like watching an amazing dance. The flexibility, fluidity, sharpness and facial expressions were outstanding! Congratulations young lady!!!

I observed that this is a combination of sports and many other skills. It should be listed as one the items in the Olympics. For more, the media should report more their relevant activities, not just NBA, Football. Tennis and the like.

South East Asia have amazing weapons systems and some of continud flows could be applied if mixed with something like JJJ (rigit close distance combat ways). I'm getting more and more sceptical about forms without interpretation. Its especially ridiculous in karate when 50% of kata moves are wrestling and grappling and almost nobody knows what it is.
