Him being sober at that time doesn't prove that by law he should be allowed a gun. That's a horrible defense, but I guess their only one. If you just went to rehab and are now sober for not even a month, before you go out and purchase a gun, chose not to disclose when asked about drugs, that you were in rehab for drugs 11 days ago.. Come on, you think that would've been approved? No, that's why he didn't say it. Him just having been in rehab actually would seal the deal for me that he SHOULDN'T have had a gun. Sure, it could be a defense if he had been sober for quite a while. But saying Oh he just fell off the wagon.. What's going to stop him from falling off again? And when he falls off again, is he going to do the right thing and relinquish his gun? I hope the judge gives max time, but he'll probably just get the minimum, if that. Sure it doesn't matter, Biden will just pardon him since it is a federal case.

Tell Hunters defense team, to bring up the fact that there are a bunch of people using what are supposedly legal drugs that have firearms though they have the exact same affect on the person so they need to explain how you don’t have a right to defend yourself in one situation versus another. Did he walk out the door and kill anyone with it? If he didn’t, then he was defending himself, which is covered under the constitution of the United States because it doesn’t say anything in there about you can’t have drugs. You are using drugs on a daily basis. You can’t say that your division of what is a legal or illegal drug is correct because it absolutely isn’t. if you’re going to take weapons away from people for using drugs, then they can’t use prescriptions, alcohol, caffeine, and many other things. You don’t make that choice because it doesn’t make logical sense. If he commits a crime with the gun, then he goes to jail, but if he doesn’t commit a crime then you you’re not gonna take away peoples rights to have weapons if that is the standard and all the bad guys actually have weapons no matter what. The cops are committing crimes with weapons and not being held accountable along with every bad guy out there has a weapon also. You can’t explain this logically.
