Classic X-Men. It's a really cool piece of art in its own right, let alone a great cliffhanger cover image for the story inside. Agreed with Rob, I'd like to see what the heck the Nth Man issue is about.

I think I got it and was excited that the black hole guy from Marvel Two-in-One got his own series.

Does Classic Xmen 26 have a Brian Bolland back cover? John Bolton rather. I was wondering when they stopped putting the special back covers on the Classic X-men comics.

I'm not the biggest fan of Claremont comics so I can't say for certain but there's two possibilities - first, they definitely had stopped by the time the series became flat reprints with no new content which would be around #43, the end of the Dark Phoenix Saga. Alternatively, I think it might be the case that when Bolton left. Lightle did heaps of frontispiece but I don't recall any back covers.

I still have my Nth Man: Ultimate Ninja #3 comic that I picked out while shopping with my mom as a little lad. I didn't know what it was...and I still dont.

I thought it was a comic about the black hole bad guy from Marvel Two-in-One #58 and chose never to read it when I found out it wasn't.

I have an insane amount of Hawkman comics and almost all of them have never been read. Do you want a Hawkman covers video next time around?

Classic X-Men is how I discovered early (well, early New) X-Men. Wish they would reprint the series instead of just the backups.
@SonofNimrodIdiotАй бұрын
They did reprint it. Twice. An omnibus, and two paperbacks. They had all new pages, all the miniscule re-writes and art swaps as well as the back-ups. Then a complete gallery of the covers all the way to the series' end after the issue where they just became flat reprints. I've used stuff from those collections as cutaways (like in the Ms. Marvel #19 review when I talked about Claremont having several characters called Elizabeth Wilford - that was a new page by Claremont and Cockrum inserted into X-Men #98).

@@SonofNimrodIdiot I didn’t know that. I remember the trades of the backup stories. Damn. And like everything X-Men it’s now OOP.
@SonofNimrodIdiotАй бұрын
They'll probably reprint it again and again and again.
@robert2430Ай бұрын
@@SonofNimrodIdiot are you sure it’s not just the new material? I just watched a review of the Omni and that’s all it was - the new stuff. I see there were two trades before that. Are they the old & new or just the new?
@robert2430Ай бұрын
I don’t know why I can’t see my other replies. I assume you can. I believe we had our wires crossed from the beginning. After looking into it further, yes they’ve reprinted the new material but they have never reprinted the series AS IT WAS, which is what I was saying I wanted. The comics as they were - old material mixed with new. I don’t want to have to buy two omnis and flip back and forth between them.
