Thank you for your comment! ❤️ Yeah I agree that YG entertainment is doing a good job of maintaining their original sound and it's to their advantage to stay distinct from the other companies, but I think there's a way to do that while bringing in fresh ideas. I think it's a perfectly valid reaction from listeners to be frustrated at being served the same dish over and over again.

2NE1 has so many fantastic songs. Like: I love you, Clap your hands, Gotta be you, If I were you and many more!! Still listen to those songs a lot

They said bigbang were still together too..never trust yg...I honestly think they're still signed as a group to not have fans in an uproar...while they slowly leave so fans are used to being individuals rather than a team

Hi! Thank you for the comment about Batter Up and the girls' pre-debut history. I didn't know that about them and while it doesn't change my stance on their music, it's interesting to know nonetheless. As for your points about Babymonster being different from Blackpink, if I'm being completely honest I think those differences are only apparent to fans already heavily invested in both groups and not to the general public or casual listeners discovering them for the first time. So I don't think it's fair to act as if everyone else has the same understanding of their concept and get confused at why they making these assumptions. Regardless, thank you for your thoughts ❤️ and I guess we'll just have to agree to disagree 🙏

I thnk that you said that BLACKPINK wasn't really a group that you listen to and not your kind of genre anyway, so it would make sense that you wouldn't follow BABYMONSTER from pre-debut. But there are people that do listen to them and the hate is because they were saying that it sounds like a track that BLACKPINK would have done and that they should stop using Teddy to produce for YG girl groups. Teddy wrote almost all of BLACKPINK's song or at least had a hand in producing it. He actually left since he was able to buy the majority of shares in his company (The BLACKLABEL) and is no longer under YG control. Plus he will be making his own girl group which will be coming out sometime this year. So, If or when BLACKPINK returns it will more likely be an adult version of BABYMONSTER. Or who knows since YG doesn't actually promote BLACKPINK all that much anyway by the time that BLACKPINK has a comeback you could be right and they are the same concept. It seems that YG is trying to force BABYMONSTER to be successful so that they don't have to bring back BLACKPINK. You know just like how they did with 2NE1 when BLACKPINK debut.

The reason they are silent with BP now, is to not stand in baby monsters way and steal their attention. YG will never miss the opportunity to give BLACKPINK a great new comeback. Since they are the biggest name YG ever had and the whole world is waiting for their first comeback after renewing their contracts. Probably/hopefully end of this year BP will release new music. Or at least give us news about when that music will come out. Since they are planning the new world tour to kick off in the beginning of 2025!

Of course it is not our of the norm for YG to have BLACKPINK to be on a long hiatus but I also wonder what they will sound like since Teddy is no longer there. And if the rumors are true it seems like Teddy has one heel of a girl group coming out.

actually you're wrong on the YG part. YG composed and arranged Batter Up and Sheesh. But their main producer seems to be Choice37, so it might be YG forcing them to do the Teddy formula because he's literally in the credits
