About 'City of The Rising Sun' 태양은 없다 (1999):
Do-chul (Jung Woo-Sung) quits boxing after he gets knocked out by a rival. Hong-ki (Lee Jung-Jae) has a financial struggle because of the severe gambling habit. Two young men work at a debt collecting agency to make ends meet. Bickering with each other at first, they soon become working partners and good friends. Hong-ki approaches to Mi-mi (Han Go Eun), an aspiring actress, and tries to scam her. He introduces her to Do-chul, who has a crush on her at first sight. Byung-kook (Lee Beom-Soo), a notorious loan shark, warns Hong-ki if he doesn't pay back the money, his life can be in danger. Failing to make enough money for writing-off, Hong-ki attempts to steal Do-chul's money. Meanwhile, Do-chul starts boxing again to get back on the ring. However, his physical condition is worse than before, and the attempt makes friction between him and Mimi.
