I really appreciate Thor’s healthy and fair attitude to Disney Star Wars. He has a calm level-headed approach that makes me trust his opinion. I really dislike Disney Star Wars because of the sequel trilogy, but Thor’s videos give me a way to still be part of the Star Wars community in a kind of safe space. Thor isn’t a hater or a shill. So I feel like I get a fair assessment of the fandom.

Agreed, speaking as someone leaning on the other side of the fence (aka I’ve enjoyed recent Disney Star Wars). I recognize that Disney has made decisions that negatively impacted the franchise and the fan base, and that the recent projects are anything but flawless. Thor in particular helped me to think more critically about each Star Wars production. So now, while I can get lost in the thrill of the Ahsoka show, I can still call out bad choreography or sluggish pacing when I see it.

Agreed. The sequel trilogy mostly sucked for me. It was very disappointing overall. I’ve enjoyed the shows much more, barring some issues here & there. I definitely come here for solid, level headed commentary. It kind of helps me balance my thoughts on Star Wars. Some podcasts are too toxic. They just hate all of it, even the things I do like. I believe the root problem with "Fans" of Star Wars,is wether they like to admit it or not,or are aware of it or not,they feel Star Wars belongs to them on some personal level. This schizm is very noteable when it comes to the Canon aspects of the lore. Some still hold dear to the EU,others the Legends,or Comics,then you have some like myself,whos more of a George Lucas purist in which i personally feel he has the best answer to the world he created regardless of selling the franchise. Which brings me to illustrate the second issue with Star Wars fans. Theres too much Canon implemented over decades to have a decent discussion with someone because different people stick to what canon best serves their view of Star Wars. Not to say there aren't groups of fans out there who enjoys everything Star Wars universally,but given the diverse age groups that make up the "fandom",its difficult to truly have a fun,respectful dialogue without offending their view of Canon.

Something that people need to realize - attacking someone for not liking something is never going to convince them it’s good. And it’s not just the fans that like what Disney has done with it that are sometimes guilty of this, it’s Disney itself. In fact, them and the access media are the worst offenders. They need to learn that attacking large swaths of the fandom is never going to end well. They’ll always lose that battle in the end. And yes, vice versa is true. If you do like Disney SW that’s cool too. If you’re not telling everyone else what they should or shouldn’t like, nobody should be harassing you for liking it.
@Nartanek
@Nartanek 3 ай бұрын
Well the thing is, if you are liking it and getting harassed because of it, it's probably because you told people who do not like it that they should like it, since otherwise nobody will even know your opinion. I see it as someone starting a fight then running away crying because somebody hit them. It is absolutely your right to love and hate whatever you want but the anti disney star wars criticism is aimed at disney, not the people who like it, if you jump on others because they hate what you love then you are as guilty as those you are claiming are the 'bad guys'.

@@Nartanek Nah, the jumping-on absolutely go both ways. I see haters attack people who like or defend star wars in youtube comments all the time. I also see the reverse, but the attacks from the haters are way more common, louder, and viscious. I personnally have mixed feelings about Disney star wars--some of it's been good, some of it's been pretty bad, and all of it (except Andor) is badly written (but so is OG star wars). So I think I'm relatively neutral in this fight--my main bias being that I don't think Star Wars was ever that serious, and taking it seriously is kind of silly. And from my neutralish perspective the complaining of the haters is sooooooo ubiquitious and annoying, and often creates a kind of hostile atmosphere online. People are absoultely allowed to dislike something, that's fine, but how and where you express it is still open game for criticism.

That's the thing, both opinions can exist but cannot co-exist in the same space. It's not silly to ask for better though. The 'complaining' of the 'haters' just tells you that many people still care but are disapointed, it's not a bad thing, it's a good thing because if it wasn't there, then the franchise would be done for.

Games and sports have rules, they're a part of the entertainment. Star Wars and other stories also have rules, it's called canon or lore. When the rules are broken or twisted people don't like that because generally all people believe in fair play or playing by the rules. I think this is why people have issues with Disney Star Wars because they feel like the rules have been broken.
@GGBlaster
@GGBlaster 3 ай бұрын
There’s definitely some canonical issues. However, while those are important, I’d argue that (ever so slightly) more important is the construction of a strong narrative. When a story doesn’t hold up, the quality of everything, big and small, comes under close scrutiny. TLJ, for example: the star fortress bombers, regardless of their canonical specifications or comparison to the Y-Wing, moved so incredibly slowly that it didn’t require a lifetime fan to know the whole mission was a fool’s errand. The Holdo maneuver was obviously a canonical can of worms, but because Admiral Holdo exhibited problematic leadership practices and character traits, people disliked her to the point that her sacrifice lost its value; all that was left was an unprecedented canonical change that predictably came under fire. Had Holdo been more likable as a character, fans might have felt more forgiving towards the maneuver, despite its deviation from canon.

I love the Anti-Cheese edits of the PT and have been revisiting those lately while also listening to the audio on some good headphones . I hated the PT when it came out but I was 19 and a much different person but say what you will these films were epic and the last truly real SW I feel we will ever get as a theatrical event. The entire PT world is so well crafted things always moving in the background the soundtrack building dread subtly thorugout AOTC to the droideka fight in the beginning of TPM with all those sounds its just so rich. Sure some of the dialogue is bad but it is tight nothing is ever taking away from the main narrative of the information is always being added to further the plot. From just great chase scenes to memorable characters like Dooku SW was crafted to perfection with GL with the help of many innovative professional creators inside of LF and out. The best of the best for sure you can tell. I mean the ship landing on Coruscant in AOTC in the beginning is still phenomenal to look at. Disney SW has lost that magic for me because it has no direction, no stakes. In the PT even Kamino felt menacing but in the ST everything feels memba berries nothing really is dangerous and that is multiplied to 1000 in the Disney + SW shows. S1 and S2 of Mando was great SW and I watch those on DVD now and get that SW feeling still but anything just feels like people inserting themselves into the story to serve their needs not the overall story. It's weird. Filoni is also a damn goober.

Saw the thumbnail: "We're all fans of the same thing." NO WE ARE NOT! There are roughly 5 SW eras: Old Republic, Prequel/Clone Wars, Classic Trilogy, Expanded Universe (Legends), and Disney SW. Of those, most fans are likely strong fans of two of those, while still reasonably accepting all of the first 4. It's the 5th, DSW, that was and continues to be a glaring problem. Funny that this is the first thing I click after just rage quitting a podcast I was listening to. The people speaking seemed reasonably smart, they can make coherent responses to somewhat complex topics. But they started talking about diversity in games, and while I disagreed with them I could tell that they weren't malicious. So I wrote out a long comment laying out my opinion, the factual things about gaming that have been obviously impacted by political activists taking over the diversity discussion. The direct parallel between how comics have slowly died to what may be the future of gaming. The summary being, just stop selling out your brand to the people who don't actually buy your product. Then they shifted to star wars and I still expected to disagree but I genuinely couldn't continue watching. They wanted to discuss the acolyte, and while they obviously were more supportive of Disney I hoped they might have a nuanced take. Instead they decided that the only reason the acolyte is not getting much love is just that people hate women and POCs. Disney has just successfully psy-oped even seemingly reasonably smart people into thinking that the only criticism of their product are sexist and racist. It couldn't possibly be simple lost good-will from consumers. It couldn't be the worrying comments by people working on the show, the background of the showrunner, the potential issues it may create in the lore of star wars, isn't the heavy connection to an era of the universe barely anyone knows or cares about. The only reason the acolyte does not have a positive like-dislike ratio is the evil sexists and racists. I just can't do this anymore man...

Hey Thor. I agree with you. while I think people get so passionate about there SW opinions because they care, I also think being frustrated wont change things and I would be happier if I stopped finding reasons to be mad. There is no emotion, there is peace. Speaking of opinions, I don’t know if I asked, but with all the different opinions on what the truth around the Jedi is, where do you believe the Jedi games stand? They seem to ignore big themes or debates to depict a journey of healing. I really like that it isn't bending or reframing the lore to change our opinion, as many projects seem to do. I realized my view on the jedi may not matter that much and I can love the Jedi games for what they are. Cal going thru all that, and feeling what he feels, is likely relatable to the young men that need to see his struggle, fall, and redemption. It's mostly about Cal’s journey, decisions, dreams, connections, and growth above all else. And it's touching bcoz what makes him unique (or relatable) is what makes his journey to healing feel like we are walking with him. And I could gush for hours about how layered and meaningful it is. Do you think Jedi games prove the Jedi right, wrong, or does it have its own priorities?

OK so something I want to talk about with the analogy discussed at1:37 - 2:01. My main issue with the "criticism" I see with certain Star Wars properties, it's how it's done. Sure, everyone has a right to criticize the media they consume, however, if you truly want it to improve you have to do it properly. Going back to the parenting analogy; say your child keeps leaving junk around the house and you keep having to worry about cleaning it up. Do you yell at them to do better or do you sit them down give them reasons why they should pick up after themselves? To use a broader example, when they ask you why they should do something do you just hit them with "because I said so" or do you explain to them why they should care about what you're trying to teach them and have a mature discussion. This is my problem with the way certain fans handle criticism. One of the most annoying things I see is on the internet when it comes to the state of the franchise is people saying, "just make good Star Wars." Like, can we be a little more specific!? Not only is there contention on what "good" or "true" Star Wars is, saying just do something without giving any examples on how to do that doesn't help people improve. Also, to be a little blunt, that's my take on almost any issue in most situations, if you're bringing up an issue but don't give either a plan or at least a suggestion on how to solve it, then it just comes across as complaining for the sake of complaining.

There are time-and-place considerations and read-the-room considerations for how you express criticism. There are a LOT of bitter fans that don't get this. I'm not saying you're one of them, it's probably partly a case of a smaller group ruining it for everyone else, but it's still true. A tidal wave of relentless negativity is also kind of exhausting when you encounter it all the time. Like, okay, you hated the sequels. That's fine--and also I agree, TLJ and RoS were terrible--spend some time getting it out of your system for a few months or a year after the movies come out, then move on. Still complaining about it incessantly years later--as a lot of people do (again, not saying this is you), is, again, exhausting.

I always found it strange that people said that they needed a proper send off to Carrie Fisher and her character by awkwardly inserting her into the movie, just to kill her off anyway (in pretty unceremonious fashion at that). Wouldn’t it be better to honor the character by giving them a fitting conclusion to the story, even if the actress was recast? Leia was a character that deserved to be Chancellor by the end of the story. Instead, she is given a hollow death and an inclusive arc that leaves the future of the Republic in question.

I may not give a crap about Disney Star Wars, but I'm also not someone that thinks new content ruins old content. Disney can pump out a million Rise of Skywalkers, and it'll never take away the Lucasinian Six. And I'm grateful for Thor's content because it's thought provoking and substantial. I mean, just the fact that he knows that the "Light Side" is the "balanced" side and really is "The Force" and that the Dark Side is just all bad, that alone let's me realize that I'm not being gaslit by the universe. It's just that most people don't actually understand Star Wars. And that's insane. But hey, at least this guy gets it.

Hey Thor, I really want to talk to you about my favorite SW character… Han Solo. As a character from the legends novels, I feel his stories had some of the most potential. The Han Solo book trilogy written by A.C. Crispin were full of adventure, heroism, betrayal, humor, romance, fear, heartbreak, and courage. I read these books as a kid and I can honestly say they helped develop my character as a boy growing up. I just want to get your take on Han Solo overall as character and ask your thoughts on how you feel Disney has portrayed this beloved character. Do you feel they got some stuff right in the Han Solo movie? Or missed the mark? Do you think the Disney character of Han Solo in Force Awakens is better than the Legends Han in the novels? How could they have done better? As always thanks for always demonstrating a level head and honest approach to your channel!

Hey Thor, I would like to point out that stories are important to humanity and have always brought people together as well as caused conflict. Long before the written word they were told from generation to generation to share history and lessons learned so they wouldn't be repeated by their decedents. In fact the first book of short stories ever printed by the printing press has been a source of war and conflict as well as inspiration and guidance two thousand years after the main character who inspired the book died. This book of short stories was so divisive to its fan base that it created religions, divided nations and allowed a empire in claps hold onto power long after its borders shrunk down to the border of its original city state. The fans of this book of all books will read the parts they identify with over and over again while ignoring the parts they don't identify with. The issue with these stories that are so meaningful to us that they become part of our identity is we take it as a personal attack anything that may alter or call into question that part of your identity.

They can pry the EU from my cold dead hands. As far as I'm concerned, the only things past Episode VI is the Thrawn Trilogy, the X-Wing series, the Young Jedi series, and Mara Jade Skywalker. Luke faced not only Sidious multiple times but made it clear he should STAY dead and faced off with an evil version of himself learning to accept the Force in Balance to become the Wisest Jedi Master of his Era. He walked the path of the Light and always commited to helping others no matter what. Be like EU Luke Skywalker, kind and patient but never backing down from upholding what is right. There's something about SW that's in our DNA. Mythology, technology, morphology ... there's so much about SW that's just fun. I personally love that the SW fanbase is extreme in terms of likes and demands. That extremism forces us all to articulate what we feel is good and worthwhile. And I love that SW is still chugging along, both in terms of glossy corporate "product" (which admittedly is sometimes really good but rarely great) but also in fan made films and fan chatter. And Thor, you handle this ... balance ... extremely well.

Normally I try (really hard) not to get involved in the comments (and I often fail). The reason why is because I have grown to severally dislike the Fandom I had grown up with and used to love. In truth, the toxicity has grown out of control. What I have experienced is simply too much for me to ignore or condone. And I do blame the fandom for it. We live/work in central Florida, so going to the Theme parks is a common thing for me and my family. The tipping point was on one such outing. At Disney’s Hollywood Studios, we were cutting across Galaxy’s Edge. At the Ray Meet&Greet, a little girl dressed as Ray was meeting Ray herself. Seen this play out a hundred times. So for us, it wasn’t that big of a deal. What was the big deal was the two absolute A holes walking between us and the Meet&Greet. One screamed, “you’re (explicit word) Mary Sue!” While the other added, “you suck!” This cause our party to stop and observe the scene. The little girl was clearly distraught at the scene that just unfolded. One had to wonder if she even understood what was unfolding around her. Her parents definitely did, and so did the cast members. Without missing a single beat, the Cast Member portraying Ray took the girl by the hand and rallied the family. And walked her across the promenade, where guest recovery was carried out. While I don’t know what happened to the two A Holes, I would like to think that they were promptly removed from the park for good reason. The debate over what is Good Star Wars has grown so far out of control that some (not all) thinks it’s perfectly acceptable to ruin what others love. It’s ridiculous! I would listen to some fans (on Thor’s Discord, here on KZfaq, or Facebook) about how they dislike this or that. While most don’t even realizing Star Wars was NEVER perfect! It was ALWAYS Political (Lucas used to always link his creation to political messages), and it always had flaws! And don’t even get me started on continuity within the EU! I have been a fan of Star Wars since I watched Empire Strikes Back in theaters! Read the books, comics, had the toys and so on. I don’t like all of what Disney has done with Star Wars, but there are things I really do like about it. The way I see it, it’s like a buffet. I can take what I enjoy and leave what I don’t. To place the Pre-Disney Era on a pedestal is dishonest. To crap on something somebody else loves and enjoys is disrespectful. No one says you have to love it, or even like it. The simple truth is, Disney owns Star Wars and it’s their franchise to do as they wish. I can’t stand the toxicity, the endless crying about what we dislike and complaining about the choices being made by Disney & Lucas. So I decided to walk away from the forums and Discords that were ripe with this Toxicity. I only ask you, think about the words and choices you make. Do you have a right to hurt someone else’s feelings because you don’t like something?

Hey Thor, I've noticed Disney seems to be making this push towards turning star wars and force users into this physical martial arts style or discipline. They do it in Ahsoka with Ezra not using a lightsaber and just dodging and pushing opponents. They do it in the acolyte trailer with this karate martial art hand to hand combat, and they do it in the episode of the bad batch with the gang fighting Ventress. What do you think they are pushing or stressing that for?

That one point you had to love the Ewok movies but now you can’t. You must love everything you have to love the cartoons and the TV shows on Disney+, even Andor. What I like about this channel so much and makes it stand out from the rest is how Thor is always a realist. He always speaks his mind and isn't having to "walk around eggshellss" or always hyping up everything Star Wars the reality is that as much as he and all of us LOVE this franchise it's not in the best of places right now and only by speaking out and criticizing or calling out the bad things can we really find a common ground and as he says pretty much to a tea I think it's just all of us fans wanting this franchise to succeed despite Disney dropping the ball almost every time. He's a great example of logic, facts, level-headedness and tolerance. Above all the fandom is in a rough place and there's not much else that can be done about it unfortunately.

I'm reminded of a scene from Star Trek: Strange New Worlds, where Captain Pike has to mediate between two warring factions on a planet that's currently in the middle of political fighting much like our real life Earth. One line from his speech always stuck out to me. "You'll use competing ideas of freedom to bomb each other to rubble..." Now obviously the stakes for the Star Wars fandom are no where near as high, but the point is the same. We all want the same thing -- Star Wars. And I'm guilty of getting overly sensitive to people's takes on Star Wars too. And it really hasn't accomplished anything. There are places to have conversations about Star Wars but the KZfaq comment section definitely ain't where you'll find people who want their ideas challenged. Especially when you never know who's a bad actor for either side or who only cares about making a political statement. I defend Disney because I believe creators have the right to create the stories they want to with the characters they want to, but there is no denying that a lot of their Star Wars is disappointing, and my primary enjoyment comes from Legends.

For us, a character's skin color, gender, or sexual preference is no more important than their hair color or shoe size. We don't believe these are political issues. We also don't know what you mean by "the Message," only that shows with female or gay characters seem to have that problem. So, from our POV that just sounds like you don't want diverse characters. I personally know that what *you* want is well written characters and that's what we all want. It just seems like a lead being female or gay is considered a political statement on Disney's part, but I don't understand why that's political at all.

Or Vice Versa for the overly positive ones. I whole-heartedly agree that as fan, we all should be allowed to speak our minds, one way or the other, and we should be free to enjoy or not enjoy any particular facet of SW, but there should be more balance. We, as humans, tend to speak out more about the negative things in life, but once the horse is dead, should we keep beating it?

The way I see it is like this. We all as Star Wars fans can on agree on some level on general things such as wanted the franchise to be put in the hands of people who are capable of pushing the franchise forward in a positive trajectory and in the hands of people who care about the product beyond personal values. However, it's also important to acknowledge that Star Wars is an international, multi generational sensation with fans all across the world. So while we may share some similar viewpoints from time to time, we're bound to not carry the same values in regards to some things regarding the franchise whether that be: favorite characters, movies, shows, story lines, etc. As for the state of the franchise itself and whether it's dead or alive? That honestly depends on who you ask. Me personally, I found my new favorite Star Wars content in the form of the Star Wars Visions anthology series. Given that Star Wars is a Western product typically aimed at a Western demographic, it's easy to only look at it from that biased Western outlook. Star Wars Visions bridges taht gap by allowing talented studios and fans across the world to tell their own Star Wars stories with many of them being so refreshing and different from the typical and safe mold that we are accustomed to nowadays. Its also perhaps the most natural presentation of diversity to come out of Star Wars in the KK era. Would like to see you cover it more.

I think it’s simple. Like what you like, advocate why you like things (or not) to others as they will hear you, but don’t tell them they “should” feel a certain way. Fundamentally anyone can think any parts of Star Wars are good or bad, and that they’re good or bad Star Wars. I’d draw one exception to that, and that’s to say I’m not sure you can really say A New Hope is bad Star Wars, sure, you can think it’s bad, but that’s different and as the first film it’s the model of good Star Wars imo. But beyond that one point think and feel as you wish and express it however passionately you want. I’ll talk for literal hours about why I think TLJ and TROS are awful Star Wars films but I don’t hate or abuse anyone who loves them or even likes them and thinks they’re good (I just think that person’s a bit odd 😉)

The Mandalorian was okay and i haven’t watched anything else. I saw TFA and TLJ and that was enough for me. If others like what i don’t why’s that any of my business? We’re all individuals. Peter Jackson and the folks who made the original Lord of the Rings films were mostly Liberals, and yet, amazingly... those films can be watched and enjoyed by most everyone on the planet. The ability to tell a good story (and respect any prior works it may be based off of) has seemingly been lost by the entertainment industry now days. I’ve been listening to this channel for years, and I really appreciate Thor’s dedication to integrity and being upfront and honest. It’s easy to bend and shift with what’s popular. I feel like I can disagree with Thor and he’ll still give me the time of day.

There's being an honest fan who can say what he likes and dislikes, then there's slaves who worship Disney and desperately try to win arguments with the most stupid of logics. I'm not saying everything Disney did is bad. But a vast majority is. Add Acolyte into the mix of absolute garbage with all the reasons why we do not like it and those reasons will never be considered by the hypnotized Morlocks.

I can deal with just about any kind of Star Wars story, so long as they are good and make sense when placed in the timeline of what we already know. I don't think that's asking too much.

I am very pessimistic about the future of SW although not all of Disney is bad. Just most of it. I want another opinion of SW in case. I enjoy having my opinion validated but also don’t want to be in an echo chamber all the time. Different opinions are cool.

Oh, we know what is about to happen to the Bad Batch. Uncle Harlow helps Wolffe with his identity crisis, and then Rex finds a secret way into Mount Tantis via Luthen Rael, and we find out who Luthen really is. Then Palpatine throws a fit and sends in Lord Vader, who takes out all of the clones, but Ventress steals Omega away at the last second. Vader force chokes Hemlock, which makes it all worth it.

I found this channel before I was pessimistic about SW. I stay because it seemed wrong to unsubscribe from Thor’s channel just because Disney SW sucks. I hope he doesn’t “cater” to pessimism because a little optimism is nice and why would I want to listen to a creator who says what his audience thinks instead of what he truly believes?

I , for one, appreciate a balanced presentation. Such comments seem more likely to be rooted in facts or experiences, whereas one-sided commentary is much more likely to be reflective of the echo chamber it seeks. So, thanks, mate.

Hey Thor What are your thoughts on gatekeepers in the Star Wars KZfaq scene. The Whole, Prequel All Good, Sequels all Bad is Very Annoying when having friendly debates with other fandom members, but Instead I'm not **"TRUE"** Star Wars Fan

The OT had class and majesty. Nothing since has measured up to its standards or quality. Lucas fudged it himself initially, then Disney produced something unrecognisable from the OT, not even in the same universe. That’s the problem.

Well that's like your opinion man. You can hate the PT films, but take the story in and of itself, and the prequels not only enrich and enhance the original trilogy but the entire Star Wars universe. It was an impossible task to recreate lightning in a bottle, but he took the essence of the original trilogy and made it grandiose. The rise and fall of Anakin Skywalker and the story of Anakin's Salvation from evil through the love of his son Luke. Luke is light, the fulfillment of his mother's faith that his father, who was trapped in the shadow of Darkness could be redeemed it's a beautiful story, and resonates with an archetypical truth. That you are so blinded by your OT pure perception and cannot appreciate its greatness is your loss.
@jimbass1968
@jimbass1968 3 ай бұрын
@@minakat369 From my perspective, your loss is far greater. The contradiction and lore breaking started with the PT, and all else has been steeply downhill ever since. You’re welcome to feed on mush and feel it’s in someway worthy, we’re not stopping you. As for lighting in a bottle, if Lucas could produce three hits over six years that’s not lighting striking. It’s great casting, great story telling, and a quality which made characters like Luke Skywalker and Darth Vader household names for eternity in every corner of the globe. So what happens now? Disney crow about 14m people tuning in to watch Ahsoka ep 1? So what? That’s 0.017% of Earth’s population. That’s how irrelevant this is now. Nobody cares anymore. Disney can’t do a thing to match the impact Lucas and a great team initially had all those years ago. It’s mush. If you want it, you take it. Enriches and enhances? No. Dilutes and destroys. The only way to keep Star Wars magical is to ignore anything outside of the OT. That bar was set very high, the PT couldn’t reach it, and Disney fell flat on their face before takeoff. The systematic and planned destruction of George’s ‘problematic’ male archetypal heroes by Kennedy has been an abhorrent display.

Great video! I am 51 years old me and my family saw Star Wars 1977 something like 10 times in the theaters back when I was 4 years old just before entering Kindergarten. I had many friends throughout my childhood that were crazy into Star Wars playing with the figures and toys, etc. We were pretty much all on the same page back then, very little disagreement. Empire stoked all our fires like nothing else but even back then during recess we started to have our disagreements. Nobody was sure if Darth Vader was Luke's father becuase it kinda contradicted the first movie. And who was "the other" that Yoda spoke about? Well shit hit the fan with Return of the Jedi and the Star Wars fan base fell apart. We couldn't agree on anything. Many of us didn't like the fact that Luke and Leia were twins, like, wtf is this crap? (I was in that boat still there to this day). Boba Fett died like an insignificant bitch and Jabba's palace was kinda silly and Ewoks? George i'm trying to grow up not stay a kid forever! Anyways, Star Wars has been dividing the fan base since the very beginning. I enjoy Mandalorian cuz Grogu is pretty cool and Mando is a dope western gunslinger. But Andor is simply the BEST FUCKING STAR WARS sinces Empire Strike Back. Anyways! Everyone loves something different about Star Wars we been arguing about it 20 years before the fucking internet had anything to say about it. LOL. Cheers!

I have no problem with people liking all Star Wars. What bothers me is when people tell me I should rewatch the sequels and I’ll appreciate them more, or that one day they’ll be liked the way the prequels are now. No, they won’t, I always liked the prequels, the stories were always solid, the world building was there, the characters were memorable, and George made them. The sequels for me have none of that, they’re badly written, and TROS is the worst thing Star Wars ever made. I don’t like being told I’m a hater for having standards of quality, and being told I should just enjoy Disney Star Wars because it’s “fun” and “better than nothing”. If you want to like crap, that’s fine, but don’t tell me I also have to like it. I don’t support bad movies and shows, because no, it isn’t harmless, if we support it, they’ll keep making more of it at this level, they’ll have no incentive to improve.

One big problem with the sequels is that it isn't art. There's simply just no vision. It's only business for Disney.
