nahhh, in terms of skill he's way above hinata. hinata is almost just as useful on the court due to his speed and decoy abilities and good defensive plays and offensive plays but in terms of like raw skill itll take him awhile

I honestly am kind of wishy-washy about this character. I mean, I LOVE the fact that he’s so well-rounded and makes Hinata a little jealous so he wants to work harder to be called a little giant. On the OTHER hand, he’s cocky, like when he comes up to Kageyama and tells him to be more afraid of him. Like, Kageyama already has a not-as-skilled-yet player just like him back home. There are other people JUST like you.

@@Aytgl Right. One is well-rounded, the other has extreme athleticism and a genius setter. But let's go back to, say, the captain of Wakunan South. He's between the two. Better than Hinata, but not on Hoshiumi's level yet. He wasn't exactly cocky. He knew he was better than Hinata, but didn't directly say it to anybody, just said in his head that he was going to be worthy of the Little Giant title next. You can be good and NOT cocky.

@@bigonbooks4736 Him coming up to Kageyama isn't him being cocky, it's him being dumbfounded that this guy doesn't feel threatened by him the way everyone of his opponents always have been after realizing the shorty's got the skills to rival (if not surpass) them. To Kourai, Kageyama's non-reaction must have felt like he once again wasn't even seen as a competitor, only now someone was dismissing him for his skills and not just underestimating him because of his height. In this moment, Kourai basically feels exactly like Kageyama and Hinata felt when Ushijima just completely dismissed them as potential rivals.

Hoshiumi 169cm, people call him short since his height is lower than the general height of a male and he’s also in volleyball, but in my eyes 169cm is already tall as i am *149cm* Which is why in real life if someone says they’re short when they’re height is 160+ i just kinda, yea- *get a bit pissed* since if they call they’re height short i just wonder what am i even called 🙂
