My dispatcher had called me to take a service call at a brand new account. This account was at a restaurant, no one else from our shop have been there so I wanted to make a good impression with the customer along with doing a good once over on their equipment. It appears that the equipment roughly 2-1/2 years old and quite possibly never had maintenance done. The original complaint was it was 58°F in the dining room area. This unit was down because of a bad connection that could easily have been spotted on maintenance. Filters were dirty belts were loose and coils were dirty. I like to perform a good maintenance before trying to troubleshoot equipment because you have to start somewhere. You only get one shot at making a good impression.
