"Ugh" is the 3rd song on The Warning's 2nd album, "Queen of the Murder Scene" (QotMS). The album tells the story of a woman whose unrequited love turns to obsession, murder, and madness. QotMS consists of 13 songs: An introduction where the Queen's ghost invites the listen to her funeral & introduces the story, followed by four chapters of 3 songs each. As a concept album, it easily stands shoulder to shoulder with the likes of "The Wall" and "Tommy." The song is named "Ugh" because the band had a incredibly hard time writing it. Each time someone said they needed to get back at it, their collective response was "UGH!" ... and the name just stuck. If I recall correctly, their attempts to write this one actually led to several other songs on QotMS. It's worth noting that QotMS released when DPA were 17, 15, and 12.

I believe you mean Automatic Sun. Yes, they know how to play their instruments and the audience. BTW, I remember summers without air conditioning and can sympathize. Good reaction, glad you liked this song. The title came from the response they gave whenever they had to go back and work on it. It was one of their harder songs to write but their dad kept telling them that they should finish it. It is the third song on the album Queen of the Murder Scene, second song of chapter 1. Since QOTMS is a concept album, a little meaning is lost by not hearing the songs in order not that they don't hold up even out of context but if the listener doesn't know where it fits in the story the meaning isn't as clear.

You like that halftime drop into the solo. This is an amazing song, technically. I understand why a lot of people adore this song. Pau is doing some amazing things back there, but in m my top The Warning songs, this is a never skip, but not my favorites. Btw, folks talking trash about being topless are those who have air conditioning. I live in the southern US. It was 98f today with high humidity. Without AC, we'd be naked and still hurting. Great reaction and stay cool!
