To certain companies, the question is not "why" but "why not" 06:27...Jesus in Heaven. Please. Help this poor lost naive soul. HANNA-BARBERA?! THE PRODUCTION STUDIO BEHIND TOM AND JERRY?! FLINTSTONES?! SCOOBY DOO?! YOGI BEAR?! THE JETSONS?! ALL THAT STUFF?! And you've NEVER heard of it...

Tom and Jerry…has a history of combining movies with plot and it’s plotless chaos. And…I will NEVER understand it. Tom and Jerry has INFINITE imagination that you can do whatever you want with. It’s timeless. And it’s STILL going strong last I checked. Looney Toons can have a plot. They have established characters and personality to handle that and they have been VERY successful with it. Tom and Jerry…I GUESS has that but not enough to be in renditions of classics outside single episodes. The big screen…just isn’t meant for Tom and Jerry. And it’s weird to say because I’m 90% sure Tom and Jerry has EVERY generation just enjoying it’s chaos. It doesn’t NEED to change and adapt. If there was a point, they would’ve tried establishing it a LONG time ago.

6:27 .... i would say "ironic as i bash my own head in hear that" but considering who the reactor is, I'll explain: Hanna-Barbera was the company founded by William Hanna and Joseph Barbera, two well known animators who brought us the classic series of the likes of The Flintstones, The Jetsons, Yogi Bear, Scooby Doo and, of course, Tom and Jerry, which was the first collaboration series they did. ... though, again from the person i am well aware is gonna read this, has possibly never seen most of these shows.

Even though I'm a fan of Charlie & The Chocolate Factory, I'd gladly take Willy Wonka & The Chocolate Factory over whatever of a crossover that is.

Everyone always requests the most obvious reviews. Here's a few that don't get talked about often that I personally would like to see you react to. A Kid in King Arthur's Court. Felix the Cat: The Movie. Doug's First Movie. A Simple Wish. Jungle 2 Jungle. Saved by the Bell.

I'd be down to return and catch up on commercials, but if we're continuing traditional movie reviews for a while, I'd say Tom and Jerry and the Wizard of Oz is a good follow-up to this one. Also, VA Fun Fact: Our new friend, the nightmare mouse (whose name I've forgotten once again) is voiced by Kath Soucie. Classic VA, she voiced Phil and Lil in Rugrats, the black and white monster in Aaaah! Real Monsters, Linka in Captain Planet, and I could honestly go on and on, as she voiced many peoples' childhoods.

I'd say go back to commercials, but if you want something new i suggest either the Signs review or start the Care Bears trilogy

This movie was released shortly after Gene Wilder's passing.

Nostalgia Critic also does one for the Tom&Jerry and the Wirzard of Oz movie. That movie is actually better than this one.

He's also done a review of Tom and Jerry's crossover with The Wizard of Oz, which came before this one but weirdly plays as the one where they got the formula down after this misfire. That movie does a much better job of focusing on the slapstick violence that Tom and Jerry fans are watching these for, realizing that everyone already knows the original movie so they can just have fun with it.

If you don't mind dark jokes and a little swearing I'd say react to casual geographic or tier zoo as there very educational and/or terrifying

That actually what I was thinking of about the movie it pretty much the original but Tom and Jerry are in the background kinda like the wizard of oz you can pretty much remove them and almost nothing of the plot changes

Hanna Barbera was a company that made cheap cartoons but a lot of them and ruled the television network for children between the '60s to the '80s. They made shows that include: Scooby Doo, Jabber Jaw, Speed Buggy, Huckelberry Hound, Quickdraw McGraw, Tom and Jerry, Funky Phantom (basically assume if its a cartoon with 3-4 teens and a mascot character it was that company), Flintstones, Yogi Bear, Josie and the Pussy Cats, The Jetsons, The Smurfs, Johnny Quest, Wacky Racers, and many many more. The Boomerang channel used to play these old shows but now that channel plays early 2000s stuff as the old TV.

Believe it or not but I actually knew Gene Wilder, we were neighbors he lived 2 houses down from us back in the day before my family moved somewhere else and he was so funny. I will always call him uncle Wonka bc of this movie. We use to have dinner with him at his house and just have a great time. One time during thanksgiving time, my mom was trying to find a turkey and she did at the grocery store and all of the sudden she bumps into Gene Wilder and they start talking and laughing. Then all of the sudden he steal my moms turkey but as a joke of course and he felt kinda bad for it so he paid for all of my mom’s groceries. He also saw me play tennis we’re I was trained back in middle school. I use to live in Stamford CT were he died
