Tropics Update: First Named Storms Of The Season On The Horizon?

In the tropics update, the first named storms of the 2024 hurricane season could be possible over the next 7-10 days. Invest 90L was designated by the National Hurricane Center in the Gulf of Mexico and could develop east of Florida in the Atlantic in between the U.S. and Bermuda. Meanwhile Saharan dust is returning to the Caribbean. Another area of low pressure will try to develop in the Bay of Campeche and southern Gulf of Mexico next week.

invest 90L could devlop, GFS is showing around 22nd possible hurricane headed towards FL that could be our first hurricane correct? Been feeling we are headed towards concerning hurricane season ...thank you for educating people. Been following td,ts, and the waters hopefully cool down with swfl storms hitting our areas ...hopefully everyone is prepared and thank you for educating everyone.

The longer the length of time before a hurricane or TS allows more heat energy to build in the oceans and gulf. And we have global warming, don't forget. Plus, sulfur emissions have been reduced in shipping, increasing the radiative forcing on the waters. Lastly, the gulf wasn't particularly busy last year, so when the storms get going, I think they're really going to blow.

One way you could help your viewers is to enlarge your mouse. You are moving your mouth around and talking about an area but your little tiny mouse is difficult to see.

May I ask, why you meterologists are so sloppy with your meteorological terminology, for example to describe an electrical storm as a thunder storm ? you know better than I, that it is an impossibility for there to be such a thing as a thunder storm, it is a electric storm NOT a thunder storm, what is it with you chaps to be so sloppy.?
